A few weeks ago I purchased another American Girl Doll on Ebay. This American Girl Doll needed a lot of TLC (Tender-Loving-Care). I purchased her for 32.07, which was a REALLY good deal! I also, really wanted to make this doll beautiful again! :)
This doll is a Pleasant Company doll with brown hair and blue eyes (American Girl Doll of Today). She has marks, spots, and stains on her body and arms and legs. She also had a bandage on her leg (Don't know why.) and had Really messy hair and might have been cut. Both her fingernails and toenails are painted with sticky nail polish. One of her legs was unattached and the other one was held only by an elastic cord/string.
When she came I got all excited because I hadn't recieved Abbey yet. To my surprise it was this one! It came just as the seller described.
Here are the pictures on the day I got her:
Here she is! My sister named her Megan. :)
She needs alot of TLC.
Stains on the body.
More stains.
Some purple spots.
Her face is a little sticky.
A little closer up photo of the face and eyes. (The eyes aren't droppy though.) She has no face paint or lip paint. :(
Sticky finger nail polish.
On the other hand too.
A Pink stain, maybe a highlighter?
Pleasant Company mark.
Her leg with bandaid and more finger nail polish on the toes.
One leg not attatched and the other held only by the elastic cord.
The other Leg. (The white cup in the picture was in the leg. It is used to attach it.)
And her messy hair.
My sister and I just had to try to fix her up, at least a little bit. So, that day when we got her we did a few things:
We First had to clean her up and try to get some of the stains and dirt out. We used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and it really helped! :)
Then my sister Hope and I took off her head and Hope brushed her hair.
Then we decided Megan needed her hair washed...so we washed it with conditioner.
Then we took out her stuffing and I tightened her arms with rubber bands (I will do a page on how to do this soon.), and Hope brushed her hair. I also took off the other leg held by the elastic cord too, as I had to do this to be able to replace the legs sometime.
Her stuffing and body.
Her clean and conditioned hair. :)
Then once I tightened her arms, We stuffed her up. :)
Once she was all stuffed up and we put her head on, Hope dressed Megan into one of Samantha's dresses. :)
She isn't all fixed up yet, but she is feeling better! :)
To be continued...:)

Wow, you did an amazing job! Where did you learn how to fix up an AG doll that well? Good luck on the rest of your journey!!!
