I was looking at a post on the AGplaythings Forum and found more info on The American Girl of The Year Chrissa!!!
It is an actual picture of the Dvd and Characters!!!

It appears to be that she will have shoulder length curly brown hair and hazelish eyes! I Can't Wait! :)

That's cool! Check out the American Girl "digital sample" that's on the AG website - http://www.americangirl.com/agmg/ - I hope that we can start getting the AG magazine online like this someday.

I have sad news. AG has decided to retire Samantha, Nellie, and their entire collections except the books. Just read about it on dolldiaries.com and it's been confirmed. I am going to buy Samantha's Velvet dress even though I don't have Samantha before it's too late. She sure will be missed. I don't know when this is happening, by the way.

Hi Brenna!
I heard about that too! I am SO sad. :( My sister has both Samantha and Nellie and she was really upset too! I heard Samantha, Nellie, and their collection was being "Achived" after everything is sold out. :(
I wonder what AG is up to.
I wish this wasn't true! Thanks for telling me about it too! :)

I hope this doesn't mean they will retire others in the future! No offense to anyone, but I wish they would retire Kaya instead. On the bright side, they said they wanted to make room for new dolls with new time periods so that could be exciting!

Hi Brenna! :)
I still think its sad that they are going to retire (or "Achive") Samantha! She was one of the first ones too! :(
Samantha has such a large collection compared to Kirsten and Kaya (and a few others, those just came to mind), I just wonder why they would pick her out of many? I really wonder what AG is up to with this, retiring one of the first ones you know?
She and Nellie will be greatly missed. :(
Thanks for commenting again! If you hear about anything else please let me know! :)

Oh, also I really hope they don't retire (or "Achive") others in the future either. :( That would be sad. :( They could make them popular by making more movies of the other Historicals. Maybe AG thinks girls don't like Historicals anymore, and think they should make more "Modern" dolls. I really don't know.
Thanks again for commenting! :)

AG has said that Samantha is the first of the dolls to go in to the American Girl archives, so there may be more. I hope not! They might make some new historicals, though. Still I'd rather have the old historicals over new ones...

Liz,
I was wondering if you get a lot of emails from AG Playthings since you are a member of the forum. I want to join but my mom is slightly hesitant since we share an email address and she doesn't want a ton of emails clogging up our computer. Thanks!

Hi Brenna! :)
I don't think I have ever gotten an email from them before. I think they only need your email address to email your username and password to you. :)(Which is the only 1 email I have recieved from them.)
I hope this helps you! :)
