This has been such a Great year for me this year! You all have been Awesome! :)
I thought as my last post of the year I could show you a little bit of "Behind the scenes" (or behind the website) of americangirlfan.com! :)
Here is your backstage pass, and here we go! :)
First here is a picture of me taking a picture for my post My doll's putting up their Christmas Tree. I use a lamp light without the lampshade to brighten up my pictures.
Here is another picture of me setting up my dolls for the picture of Abbey putting on the Angel Christmas tree topper. (I used American Girl boxes and a doll stand for Abbey to get higher.)
Picture taking...:)
Does this look familiar to you? It's usually my background for most of my pictures, but it's really my bedspread! :)
Next, here is where I store my American Girl dolls. I store my dolls and doll items in my closet. I do this because it is easier and I also have 2 cats.
I store my Table and Chairs in my closet too.
Here is where I store most of my doll clothes. :)
And finally...
Me with my dolls (from left to right): Kit, Molly, Mia, Addy, Elizabeth, and Abbey.
I hope everyone enjoyed the tour, and has a Happy New Year! :)
~Liz (An American Girl Fan)

Your purple room looks like the one in the AG magizine. Is that where you got the idea from?

Hi! I have a quick question about the table that is in one of those pictures. Does it break? I read on target.com that the table legs break quickly. Do they?

Hey Liz!
Happy New Year! I have the same tea set as yours!:)

Liz - you are smart with the lighting! People spend hours trying to get bright pictures with white boxes and real fancy cameras. I too use a very cheap - VERY bright light and it works fine.
Boy you keep your dolls and their stuff quite organized!

Hi Liz!! I would like you to do me a huge favor. I have written to American Girl 3-4 times about the "Ivy Ling" clothing. I was told one of the times that they would be coming out with Ivy clothing in the summer- early fall. Still nothing. I would like for American Girl fans who think the same to write to American Girl and tell them that they should have Ivy Ling clothing for the doll. They have more clothing for Ruthie who is brand new, than for Ivy who is 1 year old:-))

I wrote to AG about Ivy LIng! If anyone one feels the same about their Real Beauty products being discontinued! Please write to them about that too!:)
Posted by: Anne | January 05, 2009 at 05:50 PM
I meant Ivy Ling!:)
Posted by: Anne | January 05, 2009 at 05:50 PM

Hi, Liz!
I am also homeschooled! I have 3 AG dolls, Kirsten, Julie, and Jessica, a bitty twin. Do you play any instruments? I play the piano.
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 04, 2009 at 06:08 PM
I play the piano too and I also have Kirsten!:)
Posted by: Anne | February 04, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Hi Anne,
Cool! What is the latest song you have learned? Mine is an easy version of a classic called "Fur Elise".
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 04, 2009 at 10:48 PM
Hi Liz,
That camera you have is nice! :)
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 12:32 AM
Hello Anne!
How long have you had your Kirsten? I have had mine for 3 years.
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 11:42 AM
Hi Quinlyn! :)
I don't play any instruments at the moment. I used to play the clarinet, and I used to play the Dulcimer (I still own the dulcimer though.)
My family also owns an organ (but not with the huge pipes), which is pretty cool! :) I don't have the keys memorized, but my dad put all the letters on each key. It is fun! :)
Thanks for the compliment on my camera! It is a kodak one. I really like it! :)
Well, have a Great day! :)

Hi Liz!
Thanks for responding! :) I hope I have not been posting too much. :) By the way, where did you get the blue blow-up chair that some of the dolls sit in? Thanks again!

Hi Liz!
Thanks for responding! :) I hope I am not posting too many things on this website! :) I was wondering, where did you get the blue blow-up chair that the dolls sit it? :) Is that camera your own? I have a camera that my Dad gave me when he and my Mom got a new one. :) Bye!
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 04:32 PM
I'm sorry I posted almost the same thing twice. I should have waited! :)
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 04:34 PM
Hi again Quinlyn,
Your Welcome! I love responding to my readers! :)
Oh, your not posting to much...I love comments! :)
I answered your question about the blue blow-up chair on "The American Girl Magazines I Own".
Yes, that is my own camera. :) I got it for Christmas 2007. It is a very nice camera, and probably one of my best Christmas presents! :)
For some reason the comments are acting slow, so its ok that you posted twice. ;)
Have a Wonderful day! :)

Do you like Little Women? I sure do. I have not read the entire book yet, but I have read an abriged version and I have seen two of the movies. My favorite one is the one with June Allison in it. I have also seen Disc 1 of a mini series of it. We are going to watch Disc 2 soon. Bye!
