I Love crafts especially making crafts for my dolls! You may have seen in a few of my posts that some of my dolls are wearing bracelets. I made these and you can make one for your doll too! :)
Here is how you can make your very own doll bracelet for your doll:
First you will need some supplies. You will need Plastic cord, scissors, a ruler, and small beads.
Once you have the supplies get the plastic cord you have and cut the cord at 9 inches.
Then be sure to knot the plastic cord so once you start putting beads on the beads will stay on.
Then pick out what beads you want and start stringing them on. Stop putting beads on at about 3 3/4 inches or at least 4 inches down the plastic cord.
Once you are done stringing on your beads, you can tie another knot on the other end of the plastic cord. (this is optional but will make it easier to tie, and the beads will not fall off.)
Now tie both ends bringing the beads together. (I would recommend having a parent do this)
Then trim off the extra cord.
Now you have a Wonderful bracelet just for your doll! :)
Here is my bracelet.
My doll Elizabeth loves it! :)
I hope you enjoy making a bracelet for your doll, it would make a Wonderful Christmas present for your doll! :)
Have fun!
This idea was from the American Girl book Doll Jewelry: Make Bracelets, Necklaces, Anklets, and More!

Hey Liz! Did you know on Americangirl.com they are doing a reveal of Chrissa day by day? So far you can only see her hand.
I hope you have a blessed holiday season.

I am a craft crazy lady myself. If you would like to make clothes for your dolls, I have kits in my etsy shop. these are cut and glue projects, no sewing is needed. Three kits so far. Fancy gowns, dresses and summer jean skirts and tops AND they all have jewelry with them.
I really enjoy your blog and stories. Cute stuff:)

Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 09:25 PM

Posted by: Quinlyn | February 10, 2009 at 08:46 PM
I just cut an old cereal box in the shape of a holder. Then I covered it in sparkly wrapping paper! Yes I always make the doll magazine! I have a box stuffed with them!:)

Posted by: Quinlyn | February 14, 2009 at 07:06 PM
P.S. How many dolls does your sister have, Anne?
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 14, 2009 at 07:08 PM
Well we use to trade doll stuff on and off and I still offer to let her borrow my dolls and doll stuff, but she is in college and is very busy with schoolwork.:) My sister only has Samantha.:) (and a mini)

Hey Anne!
I made cheerleading pom-poms for my doll with paper, markers, scissors, and tape.
Posted by: Quinlyn | March 02, 2009 at 05:37 PM
Cool! I made a mini tissue box for my doll!:)
Posted by: Anne | March 02, 2009 at 08:42 PM
Cool! How did you do it? I also made a bar of soap for the dolls by taping white paper on an empty Scotch tape box, and then I wrote soap on it, and covered that with tape.
Posted by: Quinlyn | March 02, 2009 at 09:29 PM
Well it was a box cutout in the Doll Craft book from AG! If you don't have that just make a cube of thick paper or cardboard and make a slit and put toilet paper in it for tissue!:)

Hey Anne,
I am working on a dress for Julie for summer. It is polka-dot fabric! She looks really good in it! All I have to do is put on the straps, fix the button holes, and put on velcro. Have you ever made a dress for your dolls?
