Merry Christmas! Today is such a Wonderful day of Celebrating Jesus' Birth, spending time with friends and family, and opening gifts! :)
My dolls had a Great time having a gift exchange with each other. They each picked a name out of a hat and whatever friend they got they bought a gift for. They were all very thoughtful and they had Great fun! :)
I decided to take pictures of their gift exchange...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All The presents under the tree...how Exciting!
Chit-chatting and waiting for everyone to be ready.
"I'll go first" Mia says, "I had Molly to buy for! Here you go Molly."
"Thanks! I wonder what it is..." Molly says while ripping open the paper.
"Oh, It's hair supplies! I Love to do my hair, thanks Mia!"
"I am going to open the other one too." Molly mutters while opening her other gift from Mia.
"It's SO cute! A coconut mug, I LOVE it! I can't wait to drink my favorite hot cocoa! Mia you're the best!"
"I am glad you like it!" Mia says while Molly heads to the tree.
"I had Abbey to buy for." Molly says while giving the gift bag to Abbey.
"Thanks so much! What is it..Oh it's an M&M Calendar!"
"There's another thing in there too." Molly makes sure to say.
"It Mini-Mysteries 3!!! I Can't wait to read it! Thanks Molly." Abbey says giving Molly a smile.
Then next Abbey goes to the tree.
"I had Elizabeth to buy for." Abbey says to everyone while handing Elizabeth the gift bag.
"Oh Abbey...Let's see."
"It's the purse/backpack I saw at the mall! My favorite color too! Thank you very much Abbey!"
"I had Kit to buy for" Elizabeth says while handing the rectangular gift to Kit.
"It's Big...Oh My!" Kit gasps while opening it!
"It's..It's Kaya the American Girl doll! Elizabeth how did you know I wanted this?"
"A little birdy or dolly told me." Elizabeth giggles while smiling.
Kit sets down her new doll, while standing up to give the last gift.
"I had Mia to buy for." Kit says while handing Mia her gift.
"Hmmm...It's oh, It's an Artist pad and a pencil!" Mia shouts, but quietly, holding up her gift! :)
"Thanks Kit!" Mia says.
Once everyone had opened their gifts, many thank yous were said and they all starting talking and looking at their gifts. :)
Merry Belated Christmas, everyone! By the way if anyone wants to get the first three American Girl movies for cheaper,go to Target. They are a better price than getting one movie from americangirl.com
hope that might help someone :)
Oh yeah, when I went to Target they had the Samantha, Molly, and Felicity movie boxed set for only $20, and that would cost you $60 online. I got it and the movies are really good! Thanks for the advice, Anne!
They also have things that fit American Girl dolls at Target! Look for the brand Our Generation. Liz's table is that brand. I got a sleepover kit for like 14.00 and a salon chair for around 20.00. They were really great deals!
This is SO cute! It is a tradition for our family to pick a name out of a hat and buy for that person. We call it our "Secret Pal". Thank you for all of the pictures!
My Samantha Doll just made her cousin Elizabeth her New Year Gift. My Dad just made my Samantha doll a bed. My Cousin Chloe's dad made her Elizabeth doll a bed. I am saving my money for Molly because my Samantha doll wants a friend. Great Idea to have your dolls exchange gifts I am going to do that next year!! Thanks Dakota
Hi Liz...
Where did you get the sweaters Mia and Abbey are wearing? Bye!
Posted by: Quinlyn | February 05, 2009 at 09:13 PM
Hi Quinlyn! :)
I got the sweater as a Christmas gift a few years ago. Actually, one sweater is actually my sisters, but she let me borrow it.
The sweaters were probably were for bears. I have discovered that many bear sweaters, like at Michaels, fit 18 inch dolls! :) It is really cool! :)
Thanks for the comment! ;)
I like it! And how did you do Elizabeth's hair like that?? It's so pretty! I have her too and sadly, *sobs* I had to brush in her curls because they turned into frizz! :( But the hairstyles still look cute! So how did you do it Liz?
Liz-
So cute! A few Christmases ago, my little sister and I got all of our dolls together, set up a mini Christmas tree, wrapped dolls gifts in pretty wrapping paper, and had our dolls exchange gifts! It was a lot of fun!
