Chrissa Falls Flat~My Movie Review

After the wonderfully made American Girl movie, "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl", "An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong" was a Huge dissapointment for me.

I was so looking forward to watching it, because since the Kit movie was so enjoyable and fun, I thought this movie would be just as good. I guess I thought the bullying wouldn't be so mean. I went to public school for 6 years and never saw such mean bullying as in the movie. I don't believe Chrissa was such a good role model, because she tried to handle the bullying alone...and stood strong alone. If anyone here knows anyone being bullied in such a way I would never tell them to stay in school or not tell a parent. It was nice to see that American Girl tried to end the movie in a postive way.

It just didn't feel like a Movie night kind of movie, and I doubt I will watch it again.

American Girl just didn't live up to it's high standards.

A New Year, A New Friend

My Dolls had a great Happy New year! This year has started out great because they have all met a new Wonderful and Nice friend named Addy. She is Sweet and Generous, but is still a little shy. Molly, Elizabeth, Kit, Mia, and Abbey are trying to make her feel wecome. :)

"Hi, I'm Kit Kittredge. I don't think I've met you?"

"Oh, I just moved here from Philadelphia. My name is Addy Walker, it is so nice to meet you!" Addy said.

"Addy is such a pretty name. My real name is Margaret, but everyone calls me Kit." Kit said very interested in this new girl she has met.

Just then, Kit's other friends Molly, Elizabeth, Mia, and Abbey, which are almost like sisters to her came around the corner.

 

"Oh, Everyone this is Addy Walker and she just moved here from Philadelphia" Kit said excitedly.

"Hello!" everyone called out after each other.

 

"Addy, this is Molly McIntire, Mia St. Claire, Abbey McAdams, and Elizabeth Cole."

 

"Hello everyone!" Addy said with a wave, very happy to meet new friends.

 

"Oh, you're going to Love it here," Mia said," We do all sorts of fun stuff. We once had a Friendship party...oh that was so fun...and then there was the time when my friend Julie and I went on a picnic...you will have to meet Josefina, Samantha, Nellie, and Julie! Oh, I am sorry I keep rambling I just love making new friends!"

"I am very happy to meet you Mia, I love making new friends too." Addy said with a smile.

"By the way, where did you get your necklace?" Mia asked.

"My Momma gave it to me." Addy said as she laid her hand on the shell on her necklace.

 

"Do you think we could get a picture with you, to remember this day?" Molly asked.

"Of course," Addy answered. "That would be wonderful."

"What is you cats name?" Addy asked.

"That's Licorice, she is actually Abbey's cat, but we all take care of her."

"How cute!" Addy said looking at the cat named Licorice.

"About that Picture?" Molly said.

"Yes, of course." Addy smiled with happiness.
