My Dolls and I wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! :)
Molly, Elizabeth, Kit, Mia, Abbey, and Addy had a party today for Valentine's Day, it included many fun things to do! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elizabeth and Kit had just finished putting up all the decorations and tables, and were trying to wait patiently for their friends to arrive.
"I am so excited! I hope they arrive soon! But, I don't want to become impatient." Elizabeth excitedly said to one of her wonderful friends Kit, who arrived earlier.
"I know, I am excited too! I think everything looks great!" Kit said while overlooking all of the decorations and party food.
About 5 minutes later the doorbell rang and Molly, Abbey, Addy, and Mia arrived!
Everyone started chattering at once, excited.
"We both are so happy everyones here." Kit the co-hostess exclaimed.
"Sorry, if we were a little late, we had trouble deciding what to wear," Mia said a little guilty of saying so,"There are just so many cute pink clothes, that it was hard."
"I understand!", Smiled Elizabeth,"Everyone can get settled and you can set your Valentines's over at the purple table. Once you do that, we have set out appetizers of Nachos and pretzels and there are many drinks too."
Molly set down her Valentines cards she made while...
Addy went up to the buffet that was set out. She was really amazed at how nice everything was. This was Addy's first party here with her new friends.
"Yum!"
Addy sat down next to Mia and they quickly started up a conversation.
"Happy Valentine's Day Mia"
"Happy Valentine's Day to you too Addy"
"So, what have you been doing lately?" Addy asked.
"Hmmm...well, I finished up schoolwork, but that's not very exciting...well, um, oh I finally got to go ice skating again! I haven't had much time to do it lately, so I was really happy that I got to. Oh, also Guess What?
"What?" Addy said in response.
"I got a Brand new outfit for Valentine's day today! I can wear it when I am skating!"
"Cool, I got some chocolate and also a cute purple valentine's monkey".......
Everyone talked and enjoyed there appetizers. :)
Then after the appetizers...Dessert!
Cake, Ice cream sundaes, Banana split, sweet treats, and rootbeer floats!
Almost forgot..There was Cotton Candy too!
All of the desserts, going to be eatten. :)
Abbey enjoying her cake.
Mia approved of the cotton candy. :)
When all the girls finshed dessert, Elizabeth made an annoucement.
"Ok, everybobdy it's time to exchange valentine's! I bought these cute baskets to put our Valentines in!" Elizabeth exclaimed.
Everyone sat in a circle and handed out valentines cards.
Also, Molly brought in something special...
"I brought in conversation hearts! I know you can't have a Valentine's day without them!" Molly giggled.
Everyone ate theirs Hearts while looking at there Valentines. :)
"I got so many nice Valentine's!" Abbey thought to herself while reading them.
Suddenly Mia jumped up.
"Speaking of Hearts, I have an idea for a game! It is called the Valentine's Day Paper Heart Game."
"How do you Play?" Addy spoke up.
"You cut a paper heart, and write a valentine's day word on it. Then place it on someones back, but do not let her see the word. That "someone"should ask Yes or No questions about the word on her back, and you answer with a yes or no"
"Elizabeth, could you help me demonstrate?"
"Sure!" Elizabeth responded quite interested in this new game.
"Ok, I placed it on your back, now ask yes or no questions about what the Valentine's word could be."
"Is it an American Girl Doll?"
"No silly, why would you say its that? That doesn't have anything to do with Valentine's day! Ask about details or something."
"Does, it have color?"
"Yes"
"Can You give it to someone?"
"Yes"
"Do you give it to someone on Valentine's day?"
"Yes"
"Is it chocolate?"
"Nope"
"Flowers?"
"YES!"
"Roses!"
"Yes, You got it!"
All of the girls tried out the new game. :)
Eventually, all of the Valentine's Day fun was over, and all the girls had to go home. They had a Wonderful time and a.....
Wow, that's really cool! I really just celebrate Christmas with my dolls. I have a mini tree. I also made my dolls a room. Not just a closet, but I actually used a whole room! They have a tea table and a game table and stuff. I recently bought a craft book from AG. It included a bunch of posters and stuff, so their room looks really awesome.
How did you make the cotton candy and the cake? Are they real? Are they fake?
Posted by: Cara | February 15, 2009 at 09:13 PM
Hey Cara,
The cotton candy is from a set from American Girl.
I bought the baskets from Kroger when they had all of their Valentine's day things out. Maybe they still have them. They were only about 2.99 for 1 pack of 6 which was just enough for all of my dolls! I was really happy they were doll-sized!
Also, my sister made the cake. :) It was an idea from one of the American Girl Imagine Magazines.
The cotton candy was from the Concession stand from American Girl-my sister Hope got it for Christmas. :) The Sweet treats, pretzels, and Nachos came with it too. :)
Thanks for all of the comments! :)
Did Gwen's hairstyle change on AG.com? I think it went from a ponytail to a half ponytail???
Posted by: Hannah | February 23, 2009 at 09:48 PM
Hey Hannah,
You are right! I just looked at Gwen, and her ponytail was on the top of her head! And the headband was around her waist. And now AG says that Gwen's headband can be a belt, too. I wonder if Gwen comes that way now.
You looked like you had the greatest of times with your dolls! I don't think my dolls, Chrissa and Allie, had one because their friend broke her leg on Valentine's Day. But we are sure to have one this year (2010). By the way, I love your stories about anything because you have great hooks at the begging of all of your stories! Hope you and your dolls have yet another Happy Valentine's Day this year!
