Countdown to Rebecca Rubin...

 I am so happy that it is May! This Month the new historical American Girl doll Rebecca Rubin comes out! Rebecca is a Russian-Jewish immigrant growing up in the 20th century, her story takes place in 1914. She lives in a row house with her family, in lower East side New York. She dreams of being an actress one day, but her parents and grandparents have different ideas of what she should do.

The Rebecca doll is supposed to come out May 31st!

Since we are now counting down the days I thought it would be fun to count down the days together! So, I made my own widget!

 

^This is what it looks like, except on the real one is says how many days until Rebecca is Here. You can find it on the top of my left sidebar. It will show each day how many days are left until Rebecca is available. Like, today there are 27 days until Rebecca is here, then tomorrow 26, and so on. The widget will stay there until June 1st. :)

I can't wait until she is here, can you?

I am so sad Sam and Nellie are going away! Nellie was my 1rst and Sam was my 2nd doll. I have been really busy with school and stuff. My dad's friend broke her foot. Just now my sister fell off her bike and she is getting an xray. I broke my wrist when I was 6. I'M SUPER TIRED!!!! Wow $320 Carley! I have been saving up since Sept. and I have about $200.(It's a ton of money for an 11 year old :) Did you know YO stands for year old! I guess I am an 11 yo girl then. That sounds really funny!

I don't mean to say that AG is copying the story,but her story is very similar to a Dear America book The Diary of Zipporah Feldman. They have alot in common. They are both Russian-Jewish immigrants who want to be an actress.. :o
I think that Rebecca's stories will be more fun, though. I can't wait for her to come out!! It makes me kind of sad that I just bought Kirsten and I don't have any money left to buy Rebecca! I suppose I'll save up my chore money and birthday money ( My B-day is in 11 days!) to get her! Well, I'll have to see a whole pic of her before I decide!

I would love to buy her but I also want Sonali badly. Plus I want to collect some non-historical dolls because all I have is historicals which is great but I would like to vary my collection. I also think the book pic looks too much like Marisol. Still, I'm so excited!

That is so cool! I am getting Chrissa tomorrow, and I just got her pajamas, Julie's pajamas, Snooze-a-Palooza book, and the Doll Hair book on Friday. I love them so much!
