"Hi Everyone, it's me Elizabeth! Do you Remember when I fell and sprained my ankle during our Sports Day, well you may have noticed that I now have my cast off! I got it off just a few weeks ago! Let me tell you about my visit to the doctor's office to get my cast off...

My mom drove me to the doctor's office, and a little while after we were there it was my turn to see the doctor. I followed a really nice looking nurse through the building, and finally we turned a corner and the nurse opened a door into a room. She helped me onto the examination table, and then I was told that the doctor would be in to see me soon, and she went out of the room.

I don't really mind doctors much, but I don't like being left alone at all so that was a little scary.

They had some posters there in the room, so I looked at those to pass the time, and calm my nerves. Finally, I heard the door knob jiggle and then Mrs. Martin, my doctor, came in.

Dr. Martin is really nice, and always greets me with a smile. 'Hello she said to me, how are doing today Elizabeth.' 'I am doing well, but a little nervous' I replied. 'Oh, don't be nervous, it won't hurt at all' Dr. Martin smiled warmly like she always does. I was happy that she said it wouldn't hurt. After I answered some questions of hers, she checked my cast to see that all was well.

She smiled again at the stickers my friends had decorated it with. 'What a pretty cast, Elizabeth' she said. 'My friends decorated my cast with stickers my mom bought me' I said happily. 'You must have some very nice friends.' she told me. 'They are the best.' I replied proudly. After she checked out my cast, she told me she would be right back. Oh no I thought, I was being left alone again! To my relief Mrs. Martin came back just a minute later. She had a type of saw thing, but she reassured me again that it wouldn't hurt. Then She started to saw through the cast. I didn't really keep track of time, but it seemed like it didn't take long at all.
After she was done sawing, the cast slid right off!
Then Dr. Martin gave me my crutches, and helped me climb down from the examination table.
I stepped down onto the floor with both of my feet! (I put on my other shoe first though) It felt so weird, but I was really happy that it was off! I had to stay on my crutches still for a week or so, but at least I could walk! Also, I got to keep my cast since it was decorated so beautifully by my friends.
As I walked out of the Doctor's office with my mom, I was so happy that I had my cast off!
So there is my story! I now don't have a cast or crutches! The next time I preform Gymnastics I will be really careful!"
Love,
Elizabeth
