American Girl Craft Event at Michael's!

Yesterday, September 19th, was the American Girl Craft event at Michael's Craft Store! My family and I went and it was a lot of fun! :D

We got to make three crafts, a pop-up photo frame, a pop-up gift tag, and a felt scrapbook! The pop-up frame and gift tag were crafts from the new 3-D Studio book, and the Scrapbook was a craft from the Funky Felt Crafts book. :)

 

Here I am making the gift tag! I think that is my favorite craft we made, the cupcake is so cute! :D

 

We got to meet some other girls too! Here they are showing some drawings they made in their Felt Scrapbooks! :)

 

Hope and I had a lot of fun! I think it was cool that they did crafts for girls this year. Though, last year was really cool too! :)

Also, while we were at Michael's I bought one of the new books American Girl let out recently! It is the Button Crafts book! It has such cute ideas! I didn't know you could do so many things with buttons! :D

 

So, we had a really fun time this year! I cannot wait to see what other American Girl events will be at Michael's!

American Girl McDonald's toys Giveaway!

When the American Girl toys were in McDonald's last month, I was so excited! The very first day my family and I went to McDonald's and we each got a Kirsten toy. I loved how they were doll sized and I wanted to get a different toy of a different character soon. To my surprise, my dad had already ordered all of them on Ebay! (He didn't want to eat McDonalds every time) They just came in the mail a few weeks ago!

 

They are all so cute and very well made! My dolls love the paper dolls a lot too!

Since we went to McDonald's the very first day...I have two extra Kirsten toys! So, I am going to give them away to two lucky girls!

Abbey's First Day of School!

 

"Hi Everyone, it's me Abbey! Today was my first day of school at Sunny Meadow School for Girls! I couldn't believe it, all of my friends are in my class!

The day began when I walked into the classroom, lots of my friends had new outfits on! Also, I met my friend Mia St. Clair on the way to class...

 

"Hi Mia," I said,"I love your outfit!"

"Hey Abbey! Thanks! I had some help picking out this outfit!" Mia said to me with a smile.

"You always pick out the cutest outfits!" I replied.

Mia wasn't able to say any thing more, because our friend Elizabeth called us over with the other girls. Elizabeth always loves to have us together. :)

"So, Abbey how was your summer?" Said cheery Elizabeth.

"It was great! I read a ton of books, and I got to do some shopping too!"

Kit overheard our conversation and said, "Did you get that outfit your wearing?" I turned to face Kit, who was wearing a very cute jumper.

"Hi Kit! My mom got it for me when we went school shopping! I love it!"

"I love it too!" My other friend Addy said. She seemed a bit nervous, because this was her first year of school here at Sunny Meadow.

 

Everyone continued to chat, and I heard lots of different things being talked about-Summer, outfits, nail polish, hairstyles, books, and how the classroom looked. Our chatting ended when our teacher walked to the white board and started talking.

 "Hello Everyone, please take your seats. My name is Ms. Bell. It is my first year teaching, and I am very excited about this year! First I need to take attendence, but please get out your notebooks."

 

Ms. Bell, took attendence and then she started handing out story starters for writing class.

 During the rest of the morning we did Math and Geography...

 Geography was really neat! Ms. Bell talked about Africa, and explained that after we learn about a country or continent we would color it on the Continent Map as a class. :)

After we did Geography we did science, then it was time for lunch! Pizza was on the menu for the day, yum! Even better, Ms. Bell said we could eat outside!

 

 I got to eat with Molly and Ms. Bell!

"Ms. Bell, I really love your idea for Geography!" I said during lunch. "Me too!" Molly said between bites of her pretzels.

"Thank you girls, I have a lot of other ideas too." Ms. Bell winked at us both. ;)

After Lunch Ms. Bell explained that we have a classroom Library!

We could pick out any book we wanted, and we all got a classroom Library card! We could even check out magazines! Since we were going to have some reading time, Ms. Bell said we could read outside.

 

We all got a book and lined up to go outside, when we were outside I couldn't believe how much it already looked like fall! It is coming fast!

 

I was almost halfway through my book, when Ms. Bell called us back into the classroom. We read longer than I thought-it was time to pack up to go home!

 

As we lined up for our buses, Ms. Bell reminded us about some homework we had, and then before I knew it I was on my bus home. :)

Today was such a great day of school! I am sure that the work will get harder, but so far 6th grade is great! :)
