A new Half-Priced Bookstore was built near where I live, and we got to go! The Half-Priced Bookstore, as you can tell by the name, sells books for less! I was very excited, because I love books! :)
Usually at the Half-Priced Bookstore you can find American Girl books, and this time I found--A Girls of Many Lands book!
Sadly, they were discontinued in 2005. I was into American Girl dolls then, so I wasn't interested in the Girls of Many Lands dolls. I wish they were around now, they seem so neat! :)
I have been reading the Isabel book I found and I love it!
I plan on getting the other Girls of Many Lands books at the library, I am so excited to read them! :)
Have you read any of the Girls of Many Lands books? Do you have any of the Girls of Many Lands Dolls? I would love to know! :)

Wow! I have heard of them before! Cool! I would like to read them, too! :D Nice find!

Actually, an AG author (I think the one who wrote the Kailey GOTY books) wrote Cecile: Gates of Gold! Just came to my mind.

I've read Cecile, Gates of Gold!!! I loved it! I own it too! I found it at my church yard sale in the book section! My library has all of them! I've gotten lots of them from the library before, but didn't have time to read some of them. I didn't quite finish the Isabel one yet from the library. So I plan to check it out again, along with the others! I don't have any of the dolls though. But I remember when AG sold them. The dolls are very pretty! That's really neat that you found the Isabel one! Maybe you'll find more! :)

I have Cecile and Isabel... they are both so wonderful and I love them very much. It is too bad that they are discontinued. I want to get Kathleen because I am Irish and I used to do Irish Dance, but she is the most expensive of all of them. : (

Hi Liz:)
I got back from San Fran. CA last night, but ws able to check your site on a curtisy computer at the ACS meeting my parents had to go to...
Ok!!- so I have Spring Pearl, Neela, Minuk and Saba. I haven't read their books but plan to. My mom got Neela and Minuk (except SABA!- I found her on eBay), when American Girl was discontinueing them. They were like 25% (pay 25%! good deal!)) My mom got Spring Pearl when they first came out because she is Chinese.

When the books first came out I loved them and purchased them all. They are very good books because not only are they interesting, but they all give a very great insight into each culture and girl's lifestyles. Cecile is my favorite, but I also really enjoy Minuk. Glad you enjoy them as well.
