You all had some great guesses about the sneek peek picture...yes it's Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz! It's also the 2nd Annual Doll Costume Photo Contest!!
This year we have 3 prizes you could win...just read on!
Here's how you can enter:
-First have a Parent's permission-you will have to give your home address if you win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the contest.
-Take a picture of your American Girl doll in a Costume! (Look at the picture above for some examples of costumes I used for my dolls. Josefina is a Hippie, Abbey is Dorothy, and Kit is a Popstar. hehe) Your doll's costume doesn't have to come from American Girl-you can use anything! (paper, aluminum foil, streamers, ect.) Be creative with your costume! In your email tell me your name or nickname, and the name of your doll in your picture. You can use Non-American Girl dolls too! So, if you don't have an American Girl doll, you can still enter in the contest!
-Send me your picture by emailing me at email@americangirlfan.com. Make sure that your picture is appropriate, and not scary or creepy. I have the right to not accept a picture if it is inappropriate. Please send in only one picture. :)
The last day to send in your picture is Sunday October 16th, 2011. Once I get all the Doll Costume pictures, I will post all the pictures in a new post and you all will vote on a poll for your favorite costume! Voting will go on the week of October 17th-October 23rd.
Now onto the Amazing Prizes you could win!! The costume with the most votes will be the 1st Place winner and has the choice of one of these prizes...
-A cute and yummy 8-Piece Rainbow Cake with sprinkles for your doll from Dolly Delights Bakery
-myWallaby's brand-new pink Joey Wallet that can fit into the front pocket of their Doll carriers and has some fun features, including a mirror
-The Vest and Khaki Pants Doll Outfit from Emily Rose Doll Clothes that comes with Khaki pants, a white tee, green gingham vest, and pretty scarf to match
The costume with the second most votes (2nd place) will have the choice of the other two prizes the 1st winner didn't pick, and the costume with the third most votes (3rd Place) will win the last awesome prize! (I can only ship the prizes to the USA and Canada.)

Hey, Liz, quick question...
My sister and I both have american girl dolls that we would like to enter in the contest. I do a lot of sewing, so I've made many costumes for our dolls. Could my sister enter with her doll, Emily, wearing one of the costumes that I've sewn? I'm also entering a doll wearing one of my costumes...

Hi Liz, okay. I sent you my picture Saturday morning. I was out of ideas. At first I was going to make a candy bar. I didn’t know how. So I came up with this at the last minute. Girls just thought I’d tell you mine isn’t very good. And Liz, just wanted to make sure you got my photo.
