Red and brown leaves crunched under their feet, as Kit and Abbey walked into the Pumpkin Patch. They were going to carve pumpkins together, and were on a search to find two perfect pumpkins-one for each of them!
"Wow, look at them all!" Kit exclaimed to Abbey. "How are we going to choose?"
"Let's get looking!" Abbey said while scanning all of the bright orange pumpkins.
Kit went to the left side of the patch, trying not to trip on the pumpkin vines. There were so many different kinds of pumpkins, of all shapes and colors. Now to only choose one! Kit's eyes went to two nice looking pumpkins.
"Did you find a pumpkin yet?" Kit asked as Abbey walked past her.
"No, not yet, I can't seem to decide!" Abbey said with a sigh.
"I'm sure you'll find a good one! Which of these pumpkins do you think I should get?" Kit asked pointing to the two in her lap.
"Hmm...definitely the round one." Abbey smiled, and Kit thought so too.
Abbey left Kit with her pumpkin, and headed farther down the field of pumpkins. Suddenly, she saw one pumpkin all by itself...
...and it was HUGE! "This one is just perfect!" Abbey said to herself.
She sat down to get a closer look and started to lift the pumpkin so she could carry it to Kit...but it was too heavy!
"You found one, but oh my goodness, that pumpkin is big!" Kit said as she ran towards Abbey.
"Yeah...I think I need a little help." Abbey said with a laugh.
With some help from Kit, they were both able to load up their pumpkins to leave. They couldn't wait to start carving! The girls wondered about what design they would carve all the way home...

Mary-Kit's shirt is American Girl (from the 2005 Sightseeing outfit), but the acorn design is really a rub-on that I stuck on it that can peel off easily. I thought it looked cute too! :D
Emma and Alexis-I got the pumpkins at Wal-mart a few years ago. They are hard plastic, and work great for my dolls! The two that Kit and Abbey picked out were real pie pumpkins though, and I bought them at Kroger. ;)

P.S When your dolls are going to carve the pumpkins, like I think I saw them touch the seeds and goo from the inside on last year's pumpkin carving photostory.... Is that safe to do?
