I stopped by DollDiaries.com, and was so excited to hear that McKenna Shoots for the Stars movie trailer is now out! The American Girl movie is scheduled to premiere on NBC on July 14, 2012 right before the Summer Olympics (where you can watch real gymnastics!) It will be available to buy on DVD too on July 3rd.
Now, you've gotta watch the adorable movie trailer from the Universal Studios Entertainment Youtube...
I think it looks awesome, I can't wait to see it! What do you think? :)

It looks amazing! Where is Serria? I am realy looking forward to this movie. Josie looks a lot like the illustrations, but Mckenna's hair is straight, not curly.

I was thinking that too--about McKenna's hair. I heard that AG filmed the movie all the way back in Summer 2011 before she even came out. So, I wonder if American Girl thought about making McKenna's hair curly, but then decided against it? Hmm...;)
I haven't read the McKenna books yet, is Serria one of her friends?

Serria is a girl that comes to Shooting Star Gymnastics after she moves to Seattle. She and Mckenna go to the same school and are in the same gymnastics team, so they become really good friends. Afterwards I went to imdb and looked at the cast list and Serria is in the movie, but apparently not in the trailer.
You really should read the books, they are really good. I hope this movie is better than Chrissa's, I really didn't like that one. Too depressing.
I was wondering, will you still do this site when you go off to collage? I love it so much and I hope you will continue!

Wow, I can't wait to see the movie! I brought the McKenna books on my Kindle. I hope the movie is like the books.

Hi Meg-Thanks for letting me know about Serria! I got the books from my library, but had to return them before I could read them. Too many books, so little time! ;)
Yeah, I hope that it's better than the Chrissa movie, from the trailer it looks like it might be.
I'm so happy you like my website, that really means a lot to me! :) As of right now, I'm not planning on going to college, but doing my site full time. That means lots more time to do all things AG! I can't wait! :D

That is the best movie trailer so far! The movie looks kinda funny! (I better read the books before the movie comes out so I can tell whats differente about it!)

I think it looks good but the actors seem really young! Like younger then in the other movies. It looks good though and I am already planning a party where my friends come over and we watch the movie!

Great trailer! Can't WAIT to see it. I'm kind of confused because I thought Mckenna has straight caramel colored hair, not blond and curly. By the way, I think Mckenna would actually look wonderful with curly hair. Still, can't wait to see it!
