Last weekend my family and I went on a trip to Paintsville, Kentucky! It's about 3-4 hours away from us, and we went to celebrate my cousin's graduation. While we were there we had a fun time outdoors too! We stayed at Jenny Wiley Resort Lodge near a gorgeous lake!
Guess who tagged a long with me? Mini Kaya! She somehow made her way into my bag...she's so sneaky!
I think that she couldn't pass up another adventure, especially one away from home!
She loved Dewey Lake, it's 1,100-acres and a water-lovers paradise! It was so pretty, and I think Mini Kaya fit in there well!
We hope you enjoyed the pictures! I'm happy to be back home, but Mini Kaya I'm not sure about. I think she wants to go back and bring Mini Kirsten with her!
Have you ever taken any of your dolls on a trip or vacation before? Are you going on any trips this Summer?
Ps~Here's a fun behind-the-scenes picture of me in action, with my mom and Hope. ;)

Super cool! I want a mini doll!!! :P I love the behind the scenes action. Oh, and what camera do you use?

Hey, Liz! Mini Kaya does look like she had an awesome time. I hope you also had a fun time in Kentucky, too! I think I brang my doll Bella to Florida once before. This summer, I think I'm flying to Florida a 3rd time with my parents, my brother, my grandma, my uncle, and my cousins. Happy almost summer, Liz!

Oh my gosh that lake is gorgeous!! What kind of camera do you use?

I love that post! Kaya looks so comfortable there! Dewey Lake sounds like a dream to me! I haven't taken any dolls on vacation, mostly because my mom said they were too valuable to risk losing. I might take my minis on vacation, however. Thanks for sharing that with us! Your blog is amazing!

Hi Girls!
MissCPFreaks and Versailles-Thanks for asking! The camera I use is the Canon Powershot SX130 IS. I got it at Best Buy last year, but the model has now been retired and replaced by the SX150. Here's a link:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+PowerShot+SX150+IS+Black+14.1-Megapixel+Digital+Camera+-+Black/3097254.p?id=1218382132634&skuId=3097254&st=SX150&cp=1&lp=1
I plan on saving up for that camera or a bigger one. I really recommend Canon!
Meg-Yes, my family did have a lot of fun! The lake was just beautiful! We ate breakfast at the lodge one morning right in front of a big window that overlooked the lake, and there were squirrels in front of the window that were fun to watch. We had some funny memories too, like being followed by ducks begging for food. haha ;)
Caitlin-Oooh, Florida sounds like so much fun! It's my dream to take pictures of my dolls on the beachy sands someday. Making little sandcastles would be adorable! Happy Summer to you too!
Dakota-Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I'm like that too. I haven't taken my "big" American Girl dolls on vacation in a while, besides the AG Place a few years back. They can be hard to carry around. Mini dolls are easy to take though, since they can fit in a purse or pocket. I'm so happy you enjoyed the post! :D
Dance Lover and Emma-You both are so sweet, thanks!
Whew, I'm in a typing mood. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Liz,
I read about your blog in a comment your mom posted on Heather's blog 'Beauty that Moves'. What an awesome blog you have!!
Could you please thank your mom for sending your blog address to me?
I homeschool my two boys (ages 11 and 14) in Australia. We love our homeschooling life and I'm so grateful that I get to spend all day with my boys.
I will pass on your blog address to other homeschooling families.
Congratulations on your fantastic blog.
I blog at:

You might pass that on to your mom for me.
Wishing you all the best Liz. Keep up the great work.
Love Julie xxoo PS. I have similar colouring to your sister's Julie doll. It looks like she is the one with long blonde hair. My hair was lighter when I was growing up. xxoo
