I am *SO* excited!! American Girl just posted a sneak-peek picture on their Facebook Page, of the new Historical to debut in September...Caroline Abbott!

She is so pretty, I love her eyes!
Here's a small little blurb that American Girl wrote about her:

Now discover more about our newest historical character as we reveal the Caroline doll and where her story takes place — Sackets Harbor, New York, on the shores of Lake Ontario as the War of 1812 begins. This is so awesome! I can't wait to learn more about Caroline and read her books about the War of 1812! What do you think of Caroline? Will she be on your wishlist?

Oh my gosh, I am so excited for Caroline! She is so beautiful. She looks just like me. We have the same color hair (and my hair is also curly) and the same color eyes, and my favorite color is pink.
My birthday is in October and I will be getting her for sure!

She's cute! Although, she does resemble Lanie a little bit and I'm not so fond of that.
I like the fact that her stories will be linked with the War of 1812; I'd love to learn more about that era!
It's also very neat that she lives on the water. I can't wait to read her stories and see the rest of her collection!

I was planning on getting Cecile or a blonde MAG with brown eyes and freckles but when I saw Miss Caroline I was like "Oh no, I'm in trouble now." She's so pretty!!!!
And I think her story will be interesting!

But she DOES look a little bit like lanie, and her dress IS just like Felicity's summer dress but pink instead of white like Lacey and Alexandra said.... But she's stll beutiful!!!

Even thought her curls are adorable, she is not something I would call unique. I really think AG is running out of ideas. A lot of people thought Mckenna was too much like MAG 39 and Chrissa. Now Caroline. She looks like Lanie, Elizabeth and mag with blond layered hair, blue eyes and light skin. AG, MAKE A RED HEAD historical! What I wrote is my opinion, but I guess she's pretty.

I love her, I think she's ADORABLE! But I won't buy her just yet, because half of my collection are blondes, and I wanna even my collection out. but I think later on I will. But not sure, she does remind me of Lanie.

I like her, but I personally think she is a little pale in the face. Maybe just slightly darker skin would have been better. I do like her though. I pretty sure I am going to love her clothing collection.

Hi Liz!
First time to your site. Have to admit, I'm in college and I still love to dress up my American Girl doll Kit. Yes, I got Kit at age 8, and I'm close to 20. Still dressing her and Ruthie up. My parents thought I was crazy when I marched into American Girl Place Chicago at fifteen and bought every single thing of Ruthie's! (Well, I had the money) I now found out that some of Kit's things are worth depending $200 on eBay since they are retired and rare. Not going to sell anything of Kit's but exciting to see!
Caroline is gorgeous. Of course, I agree with having a red-head as a historical. That would be an interesting change. But I still like Caroline. I know she's basically replacing Kirsten. SOB!

I think she is adorable and pretty, but I have been thinking about her and AG has to many blonde dolls. They need to make unique ones! Like perhaps an interesting eye color and hair color for a historical, like perhaps black hair and green eyes, or red hair and hazel eyes. But to many blondes. Kit, Julie and so many blonde MAGs.
