I absolutely love to set up scenes with my dolls! I usually use the corner of my bedroom or the outdoors to set up doll play scenes. So, I was very excited when I was contacted by the O'Connor Family, creators of American Doll Room. They sent us one of their doll rooms to review!
Cecile was happy to get the mail, but the box was a bit too heavy for her to carry. ;)
American Doll Rooms are designed for use with American Girl dolls or other 18 inch dolls. When I took it out the box, I didn't need to assemble anything. All you do is flip it out and you're ready to play!
On the American Doll Room website, there are 20 different room and carpet combinations that you choose from to create a doll room! You can choose the wall colors and carpet colors. There are even packages for two-room and three-room suites! I love how the carpet can be used over the pretend hardwood floor to give it a fun new look.
My favorite part of the American Doll Rooms is the curtains! When your room arrives you attach the curtains yourself. It sticks to the glossy vinyl-like walls with quality velcro. But, they are removable so if your doll wants to let more light in, you can take them off the windows.
The windows show a pretty scene outdoors too! This one looks out to the woods and flower garden.
Oh no, Cecile is ready to start a pillow fight!
The rooms are a great size for dolls and are so realistic!
Kenley and Nellie are enjoying teatime in their new parlor. :)
If you flip it around, there is also a backyard patio! See how easy it is to use? You and your friends can play with your dolls in seconds.
Abbey decided to take a jog with Coconut...
Once you're done playing with the room, you just fold it up. Included with your doll room is a carrying case for the room and a duffel bag to store other accessories. American Doll Rooms slogan is FLIP-PLAY-FOLD-CARRY and makes playing with your dolls even more fun.
I totally recommend these rooms, be sure to check them out at their website:
I'd love to hear what you think of them too! Which room color is your favorite?

I went to there website I love the rooms.

Those look like so much fun! I really like the other color options too (especially the purple and the aqua). When I saw the purple room with the white carpet and curtains, I thought, "it's a mini version of my room!". :D

How did you make that toy stick to coconut?
Posted by: God'sGirl | August 29, 2012 at 10:06 AM
God'sGirl- she didn't make it. That came with Coconut; the older one. It had a magnet inside of the toy and then a magnet inside of his mouth, so he could hold it. They did that with Licorice, too. But they stopped doing it, because it was a chocking hazard, and the magnet was dangerous.
Hope this helps!
