Lauren from The USS Constituion Museum told me about an event they are having to celebrate American Girl's new historical, Caroline Abbott. Kathleen Ernst, the author of the Caroline books, will even be there!
This sounds like so much fun for all of you Massachusetts American Girl Fans! Here are the details...
"Dress up, bring your dolls and enjoy an 1812 afternoon tea at the USS
Constitution Museum on Sunday, October 7. Meet Kathleen Ernst, the
author of the newest American Girl Historical Character Series,
Caroline Abbott, at her first Boston-area appearance!
Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Caroline's world and how Kathleen
developed the character. The presentation will be followed by a
Question & Answer session and the opportunity to meet the author,
get your books personalized, and take photos. There will also be craft
activities and door prizes. Menu will include lemonade, tea, and a
choice of desserts. Afterwards, you can visit the USS Constitution Museum and take a tour of USS
Constitution, a ship that fought in the War of 1812, like those Caroline knew at Sackett’s Harbor."
Doesn't that sound awesome?! You can find out more information and order tickets at their website: http://store.ussconstitutionmuseum.org/collections/tea-party
I live really far away from MA and can't go, but my dolls decided to have a tea party of their own! :)
If you get to go to the Caroline Tea Party event, I'd love to see your pictures or hear from you! :)
Have you read any of Caroline's books yet? What do you think of them? I'm hoping to be able to get them from my library soon!

Liz its to bad you can't go it sounds like something you would love. i can't go either but it sounds fun!

EEEEEK, I wish I could go!!! But I live a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG wayas away from boston!
I'll have my own tea party here, with my doll. I have a tea-set that is perfectly doll-sized that I could use! I would probaly just put apple juice in the tea cups, or real tea like the throat-tamer kind I take to stop my allergies. Yeah, when seasons change, I'm not to happy with my allergies right now! But i love the fall.
Have a an awesome time, MA people!!!!

I was just curious on what dres Abbey is wearing? It looked like Felicity's Summer Dress at first, but I know its not. Is it one of Julie's dresses? Please write back :)

Awww, MA is too far away for me as well...but having a tea party of your own is a super cute idea!
Where did you get your itty bitty tea set? It's precious! I have a mini porcelain set that I found at the dollar store a couple Christmases ago. (Pics of it are on my Pinterest boards)
