Making crafts and handmade items for American Girl dolls is so much fun! I love creating my own and seeing other girls' awesome creations. My friend Danielle recently shared with me some of her crocheting!
She makes doll hat and scarfs sets and is currently selling them on her blog, American Girl #1 Fans, for $10 each. They are so adorable! I wanted to get to know Danielle and her hobby a little better with an interview!
Me: When did you first learn to crochet?
Danielle: My Grandma taught me how to crochet when I was 10.
Do you use patterns or make your own designs?
I make my own designs, but I plan to use patterns for more difficult things!
What American Girl dolls do you have?
I have 8 dolls! They are Elizabeth, a look-a-like named Emilia, Felicity, A look-a-like named Saran, Molly, Emily, My American Girl #38 Annabeth, and Ruthie!
What's your favorite thing to crochet?
My favorite thing to crochet are doll hats because it's more complicated then crocheting a doll scarf. I also like to add little flowers on them!

I absolutely LOVE to crochet, especially for my dolls! I usually just go by my own pattern but I recently found an AWESOME crochet website: crochetpatterncentral.com/directory
My current project is a cowl-neck scarf for my AG doll Lily. I totally recommend this site, they even have a HUGE list of actual patterns for AG dolls!

Well, I got instructions and it wasn't the BEST but it came out pretty well. Except: With a red pompom on top it looks like a chicken hat. Maybe I'll put that on her on 31st even though I don't celebrate Halloween.
