I hope you all had a great first week of October! The leaves are already changing color here in Kentucky and they are so pretty!
I had a lot of fun seeing the pictures you all sent in this week too, and I'm excited to share them today!
Sarah's doll Abbie had a fun day playing with Kelly (her friends' American Girl Doll).
Madi's dolls Caroline and Julie enjoy a gorgeous Fall day outside with their dog Honey.
Toy Amusement's dolls Mary and Felicity playing dolls in their room.
Elizabeth's doll Julie is greeting her new best friend Kit!
Amelia's doll Kit reading her favorite books.
In the corner is her wooden reading buddy, who needs a name. Any suggestions? On the bookshelf are all of her AG books!
Callie found all of these great doll finds at her local Dollar General! She found: A cute garbage can, Laundry basket, Grocery basket, and 4 fruit erasers all around $1 and perfect for dolls!
Lauren had some luck too and found these two American Girl Books, the American Girls Club Handbook
and Isabel Girls of Many Lands
book!
And, Lauren also had a HUGE find!! She found this retired Girl of Today American Girl doll at Goodwill and got her for only $3! Wow, congrats Lauren!
AGcat made her first stop-motion with her dolls! It is so cute!! You can watch her Youtube video above. :)
Thanks girls for sharing with us!
I just love to see what you and your doll(s) are up to! Would you like to join in on "From a Friend Friday" for next week? Here's how you can:
-Send a picture of your doll(s),
crafts, hairstyles, fun finds, ect. to email@americangirlfan.com (It
must be a picture you or a friend/family member has taken.)
-Be sure to include your name (or nickname) and the names of the doll(s) in your picture. You can include a description for your picture if you want to as well.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks, Liz! If you don't see the little cat, it is on the left. If you have any suggestion's to the name, please comment!

Posted by: Jaclynn (Bitty Beanies) | October 05, 2012 at 05:34 PM
Jaclynn: Have you read the Caroline books yet? If not I really suggest them, they are SO good!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 05, 2012 at 07:42 PM
Lauren: How did you find a doll for $3 in such good condition? That is a GREAT price!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 05, 2012 at 08:04 PM
Amelia Rose: Is it that red ribbon looking thing laying on top of the Caroline book? If it is I need to know whether its a boy or a girl before I give any names. LOL!
Posted by: Jaclynn (Bitty Beanies) | October 05, 2012 at 08:43 PM
OOOOOOOHHH!!! Never mind- it IS that red ribbon looking- thingie! LOL! I culdn't see the shape! LOL!

Jaclynn: I showed my sister and mom your mom's(Harvester Products) and my sister thinks it is cool while my mom thinks it is a clever idea. They don't seem to describe things very well; but, neither do I! They like it, and I think the Rapunzel wig is a VERY cute hat. I might try to get it sometime!

How is cookie for a name?
Posted by: toy amusement | October 06, 2012 at 09:38 AM
Toy Amusement: Cookie? As in A cookie? Maybe! Great suggestion! I would love more suggestions, so please tell me other idea's, as well!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 10:43 AM
Jaclynn: What red ribbon thing? There is a 'red-coat' in the picture, that is visible. Is that what you're talking about? And the cat, it is probably a girl, but I haven't decided.
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 10:48 AM
Jaclynn: If you still don't see it, it is in the corner. It is pink and on top of 'Caroline's Secret Message' and is about the same color of the books.
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 10:50 AM
Amelia Rose:
No I haven't read them yet! I'm DYING to read them though!
Oh cool! OK! Just so you know (I don't know if you saw) it's $100 dollars! LOL!
LOLOL! It looked like a red ribbon thing but it is your cat! I couldn't see it! LOL! I describe things wierd too!
Ok-a girl-hmmmmmmm..... how about
Fluffy
Sugar
Tilly
Princess
Ooooorrrr... do you like unique/rare names:
Ashlynn
Fallyn
Isla
Lacey
Isabell
Isabella
Julianna
Delancy
Let me know if you like any of these! LOL! I have 70 webkinz so I've picked ALOT of names for them! LOL! Some of the names I listed are names of my webkinz. LOL!
Speaking of webkinz- do any of you play with them? I like to go on once in a while and do some work on my missions and nobody sends me things but my family members (which is only 3 of them) And I need ALOT of things! Please let me know if you want to be my friend on there!

Jaclynn: Probably not Fluffy, because it is made of wood so it is anything but fluffy. Maybe Isla or Tilly. I have made a list of all the suggestions and am going to choose.
No, I don't have a Webkinz, but I have been thinking about it. Webkinz are animals that you bring to life online, right? Maybe I will.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll probably choose the one that sounds more unique or African. While I'm not African, I love Africa!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 01:48 PM
And what's $100? A doll? I know that, but I was saying that even at a thrift store, in good condition $3 is a dream come true!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 01:49 PM
I think the cats name should be alberta!
Posted by: AmericanGirlStudios | October 06, 2012 at 02:12 PM
Amelia Rose:
OK! Glad you like some of them!
Yes! They're really cute and fun! I've been a member since 2007!
No, no, no! The Rapunzel Hat my mom makes! LOL! But, yes I agree! Me and my mom are going to check out our local thrift store soon for AG dolls! We always look to find adorable stuffed animals that need a new home- but never thought about hunting for AG's! I have found a 'My Twinn' Cuddly Brothers doll there though! Have you guys ever heard of My Twinn! They cost like $200 and you fill in a form about how you look and they make a custom doll that looks just like you! I dobn't have one but would like to!

Jaclynn: Okay, I didn't get what you were saying. I saw it was $100 but it must have taken ALOT of yarn and time!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 08:33 PM
Jaclynn: And, yes, I have heard of them, but they are VERY expensive!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 08:34 PM
I'm going to choose the name either tomorrow or Monday, so if you have any suggestions, please tell me! Right now I'm thinking about Jaclynn's Isla and AmericanGirlStudio's Alberta! ToyAmusement: I don't want to choose a food because of the AmericanGirl pets(Coconut, Licorice, Ginger, etc.) But Cookie is a good one!!!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 08:44 PM
Jaclynn: My friend Rebekah has a Webkinz account, and if I'm int interested, she has offered to let me use it. Her username is 'BekahFrenchy' I think and it makes me laugh. It was named for her Webkinz stuffed animal.
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 06, 2012 at 08:58 PM
Amelia Rose:
It did!! ALOT! LOL!
I know they are! It would be cool to have one though!
OK! Can you make sure she still plays and that its the correct spelling and name for her user? Then I will tell you my username so she'll know who it is! LOL!
YAY! Glad your considering my idea! LOL!

Jaclynn: I've gotten the details from her and she says she forgot her password and can't change it so her account is not accessible. I don't have any Webkinz but she has one. Do you have a AGFan Message Board account? I might get one. So might Rebekah.
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 07, 2012 at 07:04 PM
Amelia Rose:
I think its possible to get her password! She wopuld probably have to go to log in and click a button that says 'forgot your password?' Or something like that!
No I don't! I was going to ask my mom about it but I'm not sure...
Thanks for getting back to me!

My twin dolls r creepy! I once got a magazine for then an they freaked me out. They have some cool furniture and clothes though.
Posted by: Madi | October 07, 2012 at 08:40 PM
Jaclynn: I told her. I won't be TOO into doing it, but sometimes I don't have much to do.
P.S. This month I'm learning how to knit, and hopefully before that my mom will get the crochet things(I don't know what to call them) and I'll learn!!! I am also learning to finger knit and will macrame. I don't know if people do these days; but in the Caroline books, her friend Rhonda teaches her to make lace; and I might TRY to learn, even though I don't really like wearing it! (:
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 07, 2012 at 11:31 PM
I JUST LEARNED TO FINGER KNIT!!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 07, 2012 at 11:50 PM
Madi:
Some of them look a little wierd but just imagine yourself being them! Then it would be pretty, right? LOL! Some are really cute though!
~Jaclynn
Amelia Rose:
OK! Cool!
That's awesome! I only know how to do the basic knit stitch but can't keep my project straight! It keeps curvin on the sides or the ends!
LOL! Crochet hooks! Scissors, needles, etc. That's cool though!
Oh- I know how to finger knit! It's fun! CONGRATS!!!
That's so cool! I want to learn how to make lace! LOL! Is that what macrame is???
~Jaclynn
Posted by: Jaclynn (Bitty Beanies) | October 08, 2012 at 04:08 PM
Jaclynn:
I haven't learned yet, sadly, but my mom is going to get the supplies as soon as she knows what she's getting. (:
That is alot! I can't wait to try, though!
I wanted to before, but I just COULDN'T find our yarn! I finally found it so then I learned. I have made a scarf for Kit and a bracelet!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 08, 2012 at 07:20 PM
Jaclynn: Also, I think macrame is similar to knitting but with a bunch of different knots! I can't wait to learn all of them, but it might take awhile! (:

I've decided on the name. Thanks AmericanGirlStudio, ToyAmusement, and Jaclynn, for giving names! I have chosen Jaclynn's Isla, and its name will be Isla Kitts (on the bottom is a signature that says 'Ken Kitts, 2010' so Kitts comes from that name PLUS it works because it is Kit's reading buddy.) 'Kit Kittredge and Kitts, Isla Kits.' Thank you everyone! You can call it Isla or Kitts for short!
THANKS ALOT FOR THE NAME SUGGESTIONS!!!!!
Posted by: Amelia Rose | October 08, 2012 at 08:05 PM
P.S. All this time I've written 'alot' instead of 'allot' and I've noticed that but I'm going to continue like that 'cause it looks fun to say, and I like it.

Amelia Rose:
That's awesome!
Ooooh!! OK! Maybe I should look it up! LOL!
