Last night my family and I were watching Nickelodeon when an American Girl commerical came on! It was all about their newest historical doll Caroline Abbott!
It was so cool that I grabbed my camera to take a video of it. Take a look...
I loved how they showed everything in Caroline's collection, especially her skiff boat! Though, it feels a bit funny to think of American Girl as just "toys", since I believe they are more special than the average toy. :)
What do you think of the TV commerical? Have you seen it on your TV?

I'm like Jaclynn, I don't watch TV! I only watch Netflix. And sometimes sports, but that's it! So I never would have seen it! Thanks Liz!

Cute! I don't watch much TV and we don't have Nickelodeon, but I didn't know that they had TV commercials. Cool! I never would think of a commercial for a doll... Wow.

I agree that the commercial makes them seem like another dolls like barbie, when they are not. I can understand why they would make a commercial and try and reach more people.

And they aren't REAL toys, toys are not as fragile. Well, some are, but most toys are made for playing again and again at a very young age. AG you have to be able to CARE for the dolls, because if you don't they'd be pretty much dead. (:

I saw the commercial, too! I thought it was so cool and I was so excited because American Girl almost never airs commercials, and I love Caroline's whole collection!

Jaclynn- It's true! If you pull their hair out or you drop them from 20 feet they need to go to the Hospital or else the don't have much of a chance.

As Liz says, they're not JUST toys, they have a personality you create. When most dolls come with one, with a name and everything. American Girls also have a story, and while this paragraph sounds rather poetic, it is just meant to point out that American Girl has unique dolls.

YES!!! You and Liz are so right! When my friends come over who don't play with dolls and I start acting like they're alive- they make the wierdest face at everything! And I'm just like; "What? I pretend they're alive ok? They're like my kids!"
They are very unique dolls and although they may be priced kinda high- I think it is well worth the money for all the love and care that is put into them! Agreed?
