Cotton Candy, the sweet treat that shows up at all kinds of exciting places! The fair, baseball games, circus, the zoo...you can get it just about anywhere. I thought it'd be fun to make my American Girl dolls some, so I set out to create doll-sized cotton candy!
This doll craft is so easy and cute too! Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Two pom-poms (I used light pink and light blue that I found in this big bag of pom-poms I got at Michael's Craft Store.)
- Hot Glue Gun or regular glue
- Twine or ribbon
- And, the Paper Cone Template printable!
Before we get into the craft, here is the free printable for the paper cones that we also used to make Doll Snow Cones.
Click the link or picture above to print it out. Cut around the lines and begin to roll it up tight.
This time we're rolling it a bit differently than with the snow cones. This will make it longer and skinnier.
When that's done, use glue to secure it in place.
Next, choose the colors of pom-poms you'd like and the twine/ribbon. The pom-poms can be of any color you want, remember you can always use what you have on hand at home!
Then attach the first pom-pom, pressing down gently. Glue some more to make sure it's on there good.
Place glue on the top of the first pom-pom and put the other pom-pom on top.
For a fancy look, tie a small bow with twine or ribbon on the paper cone. I love it! :)
Yay! You've made your doll delicious cotton candy on a stick!
Mia and Rebecca are loving their cotton candy! :)
I hope you have fun making cotton candy for your doll! If you do I'd love to see, feel free to send me a picture at firstname.lastname@example.org
Happy Crafting! Enjoy! :)
