A Little bit About How I got my American Girl Dolls! :)

I have 10 American Girl dolls Molly, Elizabeth, Kit, Mia, Abbey, Addy, Felicity, Cécile, Rebecca, and Saige. Here is a little bit about how and why I got each one of my dolls, and you can learn even more about them by reading their Profiles, by clicking HERE. 

This is Molly. I got Molly from my Grandma and Grandpa Christmas day 2003, when I was 9 years old  and she was my very first doll. I was really starting to get into American Girl during that time. I had read a few Historical AG books and loved looking through the catalogs. I really liked Molly, because I looked like her at the time. I loved wearing braids and had round glasses too. Molly has been played with a lot and she is special being my first doll! 

This is Elizabeth. Elizabeth was my second doll, and I got her in 2005 when I was 11, from my Grandma and Grandpa on Christmas day. I had really wanted a second doll, but I didn’t know if I could care for 2 dolls. I also didn’t know if I would forget about Molly and like the other doll better. (I didn’t want that to happen) So, that year my Grandma had asked my dad if I wanted another doll for Christmas and I did. I had really wanted Kirsten because I thought she was cute and I also really liked the blond dolls. I was planning on getting Kirsten, but then a catalog came. It had a New Historical doll in it Felicity’s friend…Elizabeth! I loved her! It was like love at first sight, and I wanted her for Christmas. I love Elizabeth's time period...especially her dresses!

 

This is Kit. Kit was my third doll and I got her in 2007 when I was 13, from my Grandma and Grandpa on Christmas Day. My Grandma had asked my dad again if I wanted another American Girl doll and I really did. I was a little unsure at first because I thought 2 was enough, but I did really want one. I like Kit a lot because she was really cute, had freckles, and she was from Cincinnati which I live pretty close to. I have been to lots of places in her books-like the Cincinnati Zoo and the Union Terminal (A Train Station that is now a museum). I then asked my Grandma for her for Christmas. I Really like her a lot and LOVED her movie too!

 

This is Mia. Mia was my fourth doll and I got her in 2008, from a AG Gift certificate my Grandma gave me for Christmas. I loved Mia ever since I saw her on the Oprah show when they showed the American Girl of the year doll. Her red hair and green/hazel eyes are so unique and I really like that about her. She was also my first non-historical doll and first Girl of the year doll.

 

This is Abbey. She is an older American Girl doll that used to be called Girl of Today. I just love her hair and eye combination! I won Abbey online on an Ebay Auction in 2008, and I am so happy I have her! She is such a cutie and she looks really great in lots of different outfits. She was also my very first Just like You doll, so she is pretty special. I am glad to have her!

This is Addy. I got Addy on Christmas day in 2008 from my parents. I was really surprised and I really love her a lot! I just love her sweet eyes and beautiful complection. I was really wanting her for Christmas and I am happy and thankful to have her. :)

 

 

This is Felicity. I got her shortly after we heard about the archival of Felicity and Elizabeth in September 2010. I don't know why I didn't get sooner, because she is the cutest doll! Elizabeth and Felicity are now my first ever friend collection. I just love Felicity and am sad to see her go from the American Girl Historicals! Though, she will live on with me loving her! :)

This is Cécile. I got her from my parents for Christmas 2011. She is my second dark-skinned doll, and also second doll with hazel eyes. She is so unique and beautiful, and all of her collection too. I was so excited, happy, and thankful that I got her for Christmas!! :)

This is Rebecca. I picked her out myself at the American Girl Place in Atlanta, Georgia in July of 2012. This was the first time I had ever bought a doll with seeing her in person. She is such a cutie, and I love her so much!! :)

This is Saige. She's my newest doll, and I bought her starter collection the day she came out on January 1st, 2013. I fell in love with her instantly and liked the fact that she adores horses and creativity! She's my second Girl of the Year doll, and I'm very thankful I was able to add her to my doll family! :)

Hi. I own 7 American Girl dolls if you count Coconut & Licorice. My Aunt Shirley gave me Samantha as a gift when I moved so I'd have at least one friend. I was given Nellie later for christmas from my grandma so that Samantha would have a friend. Then for my B-day I got Marisol because we were afraid that she'd retire and we wouldn't get her. Then I bought Kirsten & Kaya with saved lunch money. O and Coconut and Licorice were given to me as a summer gift. Each doll when first received I injured myself somehow except for I think Kirsten. Which is sort of funny because when I bought Kirsten it was after I started buying the A Life of Faith dolls, so maybe that countered the bad luck.
