Spring is in the air today and Willa loves wearing her new skirt apron as she works in the backyard! Thanks to our friend Angel here at American Girl Fan for requesting this idea. The apron was a lot of fun to make and best of all, it's completely no sew!
The supplies you need are:
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
- Hot Glue Gun
1. First cut a piece of fabric 6 inches long and 4 and half inches wide. 2. Fold the fabric over. (The measurements now will be 4 and half inches long and 3 inches wide.) Cut four pieces of ribbon to line the edges. The longest piece of ribbon will be for the top and should be around 16-22 inches so that you can tie it around your dolls waist. Cut a little pocket out of felt if you'd like. I cut a small amount of ribbon to decorate the pocket too. 3. Unfold the fabric again and put some hot glue around the three edges on the bottom section. Fold again and press firmly. Hot glue the ribbon around the edges, then glue on the pocket. 4. And, you're done!!
This craft is a great way to use up extra fabric scraps--isn't the bumblebees so cute?! They fit Willa's nature girl personality perfectly!
