Shout-Out Your Doll Site...With Hairstyle Fun!

~ One of my favorite things to do when I'm not working on my own website, is to look at other girls' doll blogs and websites! I love seeing what fun things other girls are doing with their doll(s)! While doing CeCe's Hair Salon, I came up with another fun hairstyle on Saige, the triple-crossover braid! I love it! Here's a few simple steps...

Part your doll's hair down the middle, and separate one side of your doll's hair into three sections. Use clips (even though it looks silly, haha) to keep the sections in place. Start with the lowest section and braid. After tieing it off with a hairtie, braid the second section, and finally the last one. You should have three braids! Repeat on the other side of your doll's head.

Once you have your braids, it's time to cross them over...

Gather the top braids and tie off. Then cross over the second braids and gather a small piece of hair from the ponytail before tieing off with a hairtie. (You can undo the other hairties on your braids once they are secure)

Crossover the last braids and, ta-da! You're done! You can leave your doll's hair down like this, or gather into a ponytail like I did.

This style would look amazing on any doll with long hair!

A few weeks ago during my first day of Spring photoshoot with Rebecca, my dad secretly snapped this picture of me. I thought it was the perfect way to show you all how I take my doll pictures...VERY low to the ground! I want to get really close to my doll like she's actually looking right at the camera. :)

Here's the result! Beautiful Rebecca, the model! I LOVE doll photography! If you have never thought about taking pictures of your doll, go out and try. It is so much fun and creative! Plus, no one sees the world behind the lens just like you!
