Poor Samantha and Nellie are Being "ARCHIVED"!

I just learned recently on a few other websites that the American Girl Dolls Samantha and Nellie are being Archived! (or retired, a little different meanings between them though) I am SO sad! Samantha was one of the first dolls made by Pleasant Rowland before Mattel took over, why would they do this? That is exactly what my dolls were thinking too.

They went on a Doll Protest, Protesting against making Samantha and Nellie become archived.

  Poor Samantha and Nellie. :( I am really being serious in saying that I can't believe American Girl is Archiving 2 Historical American Girl Dolls! It really is unbeliveable! )

Actual Picture of The American Girl DVD: Chrissa Stands Strong

I was looking at a post on the AGplaythings  Forum and found more info on The American Girl of The Year Chrissa!!!

It is an actual picture of the Dvd and Characters!!!

It appears to be that she will have shoulder length curly brown hair and hazelish eyes! I Can't Wait! :)

News about "American Girl of The Year 2009: Chrissa"

I recently was told by a good friend that the American Girl of The Year 2009 will be named Chrissa!(I found out her last name will be Maxwell too!) She will also have a movie starring Sammi Hanratty!

A Variety Magazine citation indicates that the name of the 2009 Girl of the Year doll is Chrissa. The doll, book, and her collection will be released on January 1, 2009, and a direct-to-DVD film entitled "Chrissa Stands Strong" based on her story will be released by HBO on January 6, 2009.She will also have a best friend doll.

In her movie, Chrissa moves mid schoolyear. She meets three girls called the Mean Bees. They trick and tease Chrissa, not only at school but at swim class and on the internet. Chrissa must "stand strong" against them.
