Book Pictures of the New American Girl Historicals Cécile and Marie-Grace!

I hope you all had a great weekend, I sure did! Though, I am SO happy to start off my week with...a picture of the TWO New Historical American Girl Characters book pictures!! (which was found on Doll Diaries and posted by Calyndra on the AG Playthings message board  )

The new girls' names are Cécile Rey (Left) and Marie-Grace Gardner (Right)! Their time period is 1853, in New Orleans during the yellow fever epedimic! In the picture the words say that Cecile Rey lives in a well-to-do free family of color and Marie-Grace has moved back to New Orleans with her father. It was said that their books will be in first person (different point-of-views!!), plus they live in totally different social classes.

Ahh, I can't wait to read the books and see them in doll-form! From the picture it looks like their curly hair and clothes will be beautiful! I guess they will be the other two special-edition mini dolls for November and December too!! :)

Share Your American Girl Memories!

As part of American Girl's 25th Birthday Celebration, American Girl came out with a fun new thing to do on their website! They have a New Page where you can share your American Girl memories and stories from the past 25 years.

They just came out with it yesterday, May 2nd. On the page people can share their own pictures of themselves and their doll too! It looks really cool, but it's sad that you have to be an adult to submit a story. :(

 

My first doll Molly and I have had lots of memories over the past years. I remember reading the American Girl stories when I was in Elementary school. The first American Girl books I read were Samantha's and I loved them! Back then Samantha was my favorite. :) I remember reading Addy's books too.The books were what started my love for American Girl. It wasn't until I got the AG Catalogs that I saw the dolls. I dreamed of one day owning an American Girl doll as I looked at the beautiful catalog pictures in 2002. When my Grandma asked if I wanted one of the dolls for Christmas in 2003, I was extremely excited! I loved all of the dolls, but since I looked so much like Molly I just had to have her! I couldn't wait to see the Molly doll in person, and be able to have my own American Girl doll! :)

American Girl May Catalog with Mini Molly and Josefina!

Today I got a new American Girl May Catalog in the mail! I really like the cover! It makes me want to go on a trip with my dolls! :)

As I was skimming through it, I came to the page of the New Special-Edition Mini Dolls for American Girl's 25th Birthday!

 

Since it's May, Molly is now available...but look there's the new Josefina Mini doll!

I was really surprised to see the new Mini Josefina in the catalog! She will be available to buy on June 1st. Both her and Mini Molly are so cute!

 

After Mini Josefina in June, there are 4 more Mini dolls left for July, August, and September, and October. There has been some questioning of who the other two Mini dolls for November and December will be...maybe of new dolls?! I hope so! We will just have to wait and see! :)
