It's always so much fun to see your captions for "Caption That Doll Picture"!! Here's a brand-new crazy picture this week...

I love accessories and props that really make playing with dolls fun...especially doll food! I was contacted by Gina, the creator of ChefGinas.com, a shop filled to the brim with doll food! She creates food and props for dolls of all shapes and sizes, like Barbie doll size, 11 inches, 16 inches, 24 inches, and for 18 inch American Girl dolls!
Gina generously donated one her fabulous American Girl doll cakes, doll drinks, and a membership to her kid's club to give away to one of you! But, first let's get to know Chef Gina and her shop a little bit better with an interview. (Keep reading to find out how to enter the giveaway!)
How did you come up with the idea of your shop-Chef Gina's?
Gina: In 2000, I got laid off from a job, during this time my mom said why don't you try making Barbie food and selling it on Ebay. I said Mom, Barbie doesn't even eat...whose going to buy that? That Easter, my mom made me an Easter basket full of clay items to make food. (Yes, I still get Easter baskets to this day. lol) During that time, we worked late nights making food to post on Ebay. As our business took off, we gained recognition in many doll magazines eventually building our own website at www.chefginas.com
What is your favorite doll food to make?
My favorite doll food to make is the cakes.
Where does your inspiration come from?
Mainly inspiration comes from the fashion world. Oddly as it sounds...I watch the colors, trends, vintage styles and try to incorporate that into food and set design.
What's the product or offering in your shop that you're most excited about right now? Tell us about it.
I am most excited about our 18 inch doll food line! I am really pleased with the way the cakes are looking so life like!
