The 4th of July is almost here, can you believe it?! To get ready to celebrate America's Independence Day I wanted to share this fun craft with you! How to make Doll-Sized Paper Patriotic Flowers!
Let's get started!
First you will need some supplies:
- Tissue Paper in Red, White, or Blue (You can use other kinds of colors too, not just for the 4th!)
- Green Pipecleaners
- Ruler
- Scissors
- and a Parent/Guardian to help you!
After you have all of your supplies, pick your tissue paper and get out your ruler! Measure 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall.
Then cut your tissue paper. You will need to cut 4 rectangles. (It helps if you stack four sheets of tissue paper and cut them all out together)
Once your tissue paper is all cut out, stack your four rectangles on top of each other and fold in accordian style, like you are making a fan.
It should look somewhat like this!
Now get your green pipecleaner and twist it around the middle of your tissue paper. Then begin pulling apart the folded paper to make the flower petals! (Be careful when you do this because if you pull too hard the paper can rip)
And, ta-da you made your doll her very own paper flower that will never wilt! :D
Abbey loves her patriotic flowers! If you make some flowers for your doll too, I'd love to see them! You can email me a picture at [email protected]
Have fun!! :)
