Are you and your dolls ready for Thanksgiving? Today I'm going to show you a craft you can make to decorate your dolls Thanksgiving table!
These Turkey Napkin Rings are so fun and easy to make! Let's get started!
First you will need some supplies:
- Brown Foam or Construction Paper
- Light brown foam or paper
- Red construction paper
- Yellow construction paper
- Decorative paper (optional, you can use any kind of paper or you can even color white paper if you want!)
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Glue, tape, or Glue Dots (Glue Dots work better for me)
- Small googly eyes
- and a parent/guardian to help you!
After you have all of the supplies, measure your brown foam or construction paper two and half inches long and a half inch wide. Then cut out the strip.
Place a glue dot on the foam/paper and roll it like shown.
Now it's time to cut out your decorative paper (you can use solid too). Cut it around two inches long and one and half inches wide.
Now it's time to fold it!
Fold it acordian style, like a fan. Fan out the creases since these are your turkey's feathers!
With a glue dot, put the paper fan on the back of the rolled up strip.
Now cut out a head for your turkey with light brown foam/paper in an oval shape and use a glue dot.
The turkey is almost done! With your yellow and red paper make a beak and wattle. With glue dots attatch it to the head along with the googly eyes.
Cut a real napkin (or a tissue will work too) in half to make a doll-sized napkin. Roll up the napkin and slide on your doll's new turkey napkin ring!
Ta-da! Your dolls can have fun decorating their table with cute little turkeys! :)
I hope your doll has fun with this! If you make a turkey napkin ring for your doll, I'd love to see it! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
My dolls and I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!! Do you have any Thanksgiving plans?
