Like they always say the most important meal of the day is Breakfast! Today I'm going to show you how to make a yummy breakfast food my dolls love...Cinnamon Rolls!
They are so much fun to make!
First you will need some supplies:
- Light Brown Craft Foam (or darker brown if your doll likes them more toasty)
- White Puffy Paint
- Glue or Glue Dots (Glue dots work a lot better in my opinion)
- Brown Glitter
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Newspaper (to lay on the table, this can get messy!)
- And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Once you have all the supplies, measure your foam and mark to twelve inches. After that mark four more inches down...the foam strip will be around sixteen inches.
And, the width of the strip will be around 1 inch. After you measure use your scissors to carefully cut out the strip.
Now it's time to roll! First put a glue dot on the edge so the rolling will stick and be easier, then roll it up until you've rolled the whole strip. It should look like the fourth picture. :)
With your finger push up on the swirls to make the foam pop, like a real cinnamon roll would in the oven! You might need a few more glue dots to make the middle stay put. After you do that, get out your puffy paint! This is the really fun part.
The puffy paint is your icing! Slowly swirl some icing on your doll cinnamon roll. Be careful to not squeeze too hard or you'll have too much icing. A little goes a long way in baking! ;)
After you're done icing, sprinkle on a little of the brown glitter to be your cinnamon. Make sure to sprinkle it on when the puffy paint is still wet. Then it's time to wait for it to dry or "cool" before giving it to your doll to enjoy. It takes around an hour or two to dry completely. (Or with your parent's help, a hair dryer on a low setting works well to dry them quicker.)
And, ta-da your dolls now have a delicious breakfast!
Kenley and Kit love their cinnamon rolls!
