Doll Hairstyle Tip: Use Ribbon!

One of my all-time favorite hair accessories to use on my dolls is...Ribbon! From doing crafts I have a ton of it laying around the house too. It's so much fun and an inexpensive way to give your doll's hair some style!

Ribbon is only $1.99-$2.99 at craft stores and on sale you can get it even cheaper. Here's some of my favorite ways to use Ribbon on doll hairstyles:

Basic Bow. I love to tie some ribbon after doing a braid or on a ponytail!

Double Bow. Use two different kinds of thin ribbon and tie them together!

You could dress it up or make it sporty too by tieing the double bow on pigtails! :)

Bow Headband. Cut a long piece of ribbon and bring it around your dolls head. Then tie it into a small bow to make a headband!

This is a great style for dolls with bangs. :)

I think Abbey looks adorable!

Braided Ribbon. Seperate your doll's hair into three sections for a braid and cut three pieces of thin ribbon. Tie them on three small sections of hair, placing each ribbon on top of a section. Then braid the ribbon with the hair.

I love tieing another piece of ribbon on the bottom of the braid for a final touch.

Princess Bow. I call it that, because I think it looks like a crown! After doing a top-knot bun, tie ribbon around the bun and make a bow. This is so cute on dolls with curly hair, like Rebecca.

Kit Reads The Saige Books!

Today is such a gloomy, yucky, rainy day. One of Kit's favorite things to do on a day like this, is to catch up on some reading!

Her book of choice today, is Saige by Jessie Haas!

She loves how the Girl of the Year books are always in first person. Saige's is so good too! She's enjoying reading all about New Mexico and about how Saige is determined to have an Art class at her school. She also loves the fact that Saige has a dog, too cute! :)

She can't wait to finish the first book so she can read Saige Paints the Sky!
