Is your doll in need of some style? Today I'm going to show you how to make a stylin' ribbon doll hairbow!
These are so fun to make and best of all EASY! Let's get started!
First you will need some supplies:
- Ribbon (Any kind of ribbon, a half inch thick will work. I used some cute fuzzy ribbon!)
- Mini Barrettes (You can find these in the jewelry making section of craft stores. I got mine at Joann's and they come with lots of them!)
- Scissors
- Glue or Hot Glue Gun
- And a parent/guardian to help you! :)
Once you have all your supplies, cut your piece of ribbon 5 inches long.
If you're using fuzzy ribbon, flip to the non-fuzzy side and fold the first half over like shown above.
Glue the half-folded first. Then add another drop of glue on top of the glued half.
Bring the other half of the ribbon over and glue in place while pinching the middle.
Now that's done, it's time to cut another piece of ribbon. Cut this piece of ribbon around 1 inch or an inch and a half long.
This piece of ribbon, you are going to wrap around the middle of your bow! After you have it in place, glue it!
If it looks messy that's totally okay! This is going to be covered up when you glue it to the barrette.
Speaking of which, get out your barrettes! :)
With a drop of glue, glue the bow to the barrette. And, ta-da your doll has a new hair accessory!!
Isn't it CUTE?! You can also decorate with a gem in the middle to give it some more bling!
Abbey loves her new bow! You can use ribbon in different sizes to make even bigger bows!
