One of my favorite things to have during the school year is a dry erase board! They are so useful and you can put absolutely anything on it, from your schedule to silly doodles!
Today I'm going to show you how you can make a dry erase board for your dolls! This craft is so easy too! Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Dry Erase Sheets (These are made by the same company as Duck Tape, and I got them at Wal-Mart in the back-to-school section. They come in a pack of three for around $2-$3)
- A 5x7 Picture Frame or Decorative Frame
- Duck Tape in any color
- Scissors
- And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Once you have your supplies, get out one of the dry erase sheets. These glossy sheets are just like stickers, they have a paper backing that you can peel off.
See? But before you do that, take apart your picture frame until you have the glass in front of you. Measure however big it is and cut the dry erase sheet to size.
When you stick it on the glass, the paper can easily get little air bubbles in it. If it does, you can use a library card (or something with an edge) to help smooth it out. After that's done, slip the glass back into the frame.
Now your picture frame has transformed into a dry erase board! For a classroom setting, you could keep the border black, but I wanted to make mine look fun. So I used some colorful Duck Tape!
Cut to size and begin sticking the Duck Tape around the border.
Almost done....
And the dry erase board is finished! YAY! :)
Using the same method I made a decorative picture frame into a dry erase board too! (These are so cute and when your doll isn't using it, you could have it as fun decoration on your desk!)
Felicity couldn't wait to try out her new dry erase markers!
Writing out some things to remember...
Afterwards, she drew a pretty picture to make it look like it was in a frame!
I hope you have a lot of fun making your doll her own dry erase board! If you do, I'd love to see, feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Happy Crafting, and wishing you all a great 2013-2014 school year! :)
