Every doll dreams of being a Princess for the day! Now you can make that happen by giving your doll a gorgeous crown...
This crown is so easy and fun to make! Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Pipecleaners
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun (regular glue and gluedots work too!)
- Rhinestones
- And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Once you have all your supplies, pull out 6 pipecleaners. You can use any color you'd like, but I chose Gold! :)
Pick up two of your pipecleaners and twist them together.
By doing that, you now have one LONG pipecleaner!!
Pick up another pipecleaner and twist it on your long pipecleaner.
Bend the pipecleaner to give it a point, then twist it twice over before repeating the same thing.
When you run out of pipecleaner while bending, just add another until all six are used up.
When you have all your points, make your pipecleaner into a circle like shown above. Twist the extra bit of pipecleaner to keep the circle in place.
Once that's done cut off the extra pipecleaner.
Now for the fun part!! Get out those beautiful rhinestones and glue!
Put a rhinestone at the top of each point for a royal touch!
If you're using regular glue make sure you let it dry before giving it to your doll. And, ta-daa! :)
Introducing...Princess Samantha!!
This crown is perfect for a costume or just for dress-up! You could even make your doll into an Ice Princess by using white sparkly pipecleaners and white rhinestones. So many possiblities!
Samantha is pretending to be snowwhite...oh dear, where is that Prince?!
I hope you have fun making a crown for your doll! If you do, I'd LOVE to see, feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]. Or you can enter in my Doll Costume Photo Contest! :)
Happy Crafting!
