I'm so excited that Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away! I just love everything about it; from the pinks & reds, to sharing valentines with friends, and...roses! They are so gorgeous and it's fun to see bright flowers this time of year. Today I'm going to show you how to make some roses for your doll...
These are so fun and very simple to make, once you get the hang of it! Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Red felt
- Green felt
- Hot glue gun (regular glue would work too; hot glue is just faster for me.)
- Green pipecleaner
- Scissors
- And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Once you have what you need, start cutting out small circles from the red felt. These are going to be your petals.
The petals should be close to an inch in size. You need to have 4-5 of them (depending on how full you'll want your rose to look).
Now it's time to get out your glue! Take one petal and fold over and glue like shown above.
Take the second petal and glue around the first.
Then take the third petal and glue on the other side, overlapping.
Finally, take the fourth petal and glue on the remaining side.
What a beautiful rose!!
Cut out small leaf shapes from the green felt, about an inch and half long.
Glue those on underneath your rose...
See? :)
For the final step, cut your green pipecleaner to be the stem and glue. Mine was about 4 inches.
Ta-daa! Now you can give it to your doll to display and brighten up the room! Make a few more to have a bouquet. :)
So pretty!! :)
Rebecca loves the roses! Perfect for Valentine's Day or any day!
I hope you have fun making some for your doll! If you do, I'd love to see! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Have a 'lovely' time crafting! :)
