It's time to share my experience of building the My Girl's Doll House! To refresh your memory, My Girl's Doll House is the first 18 inch doll house made available to purchase. The house is made out of 100% pine wood frame with high quality floors and walls. When it's assembled the house stands 6 feet tall, is 5 feet wide and 2 feet deep!
Inside the house are four beautiful rooms and an attic with a hanging rod. Another important feature it comes with is a wall safety mount. You can anchor the doll house to the wall to prevent it from tipping over.
With the help of my dad, it was time to build this doll house! I couldn't wait to see what it was going to look like.
Once we opened the box, there was of course, lots of pieces!
We got out our screws and studied the instructions.
Then we got building!
Each room is high quality and nicely decorated with cute walls, even window cut-outs.
Here I am putting in the walls...
It was starting to look like a house!
When all the rooms were sealed, we moved onto the roof...
As you can tell, this house is BIG...way bigger than I imagined!
Just a few more finishing touches...
...And, here is the completed My Girl's Doll House! It's as tall as me! The process took around three hours, but it was worth it and so much fun.
The back of the house I love just as much as the rooms themselves! The detailing of the door and windows are beautiful. I was sent the Country French house, but there is another style you can choose from called the Sweet Bungalow.
When we were done building, my doll's were very eager to investigate the house! It's going to be a lot of fun to fill up these rooms and decorate. Having a real place to put doll furniture is something brand-new to me and I'm now going to be on the look-out for cute pieces. ;)
Here's Ivy showing off the purple bedroom. As you can see, the doll bunk bed fits perfectly inside!
There's also a window to look out in each of the four rooms. Ivy says hi!
I was happy to see that one of the rooms is decorated like a ballet studio!
Saige can't wait to be able to practice every day.
Finally, here we have the attic! The hanging rod was included and can easily be removed. Maybe my Kit will actually be able to have an attic bedroom like in her books!
Overall, I am in love with my My Girl's Doll House and can't wait to use it more in the future! You can purchase and find out more about all the features at MyGirlsDollHouse.Com
If you had a My Girl's Doll House, how would you decorate the rooms? I'd love to know your ideas! :)
