I love finding new, simple ways to use ribbon in doll hairstyles! Today I'm going to show you one of my very favorites!
A Ponytail Braid with ribbon! I LOVE this and it's so easy too...
First put your doll's hair up into a high side ponytail. Then cut a long piece of ribbon. (It's so fun to use ribbon with colorful patterns! They are very inexpensive too, I find ribbon at craft stores sometimes for a dollar or 50 cents.)
Wrap the ribbon around the hairtie and tie into a big bow.
Leave the long pieces of ribbon hanging. Then sepeate your doll's ponytail into three equal sections.
Place the strands of ribbon on the left and right sides.
Start braiding with the ribbon, holding the hair tight.
Keep going...
When you reach the end, loop the ribbon around the bottom and tie a knot. You can carefully cut off the extra ribbon with a pair of scissors.
And there you have an adorable ponytail braid, perfect for the Summertime! I like how you can easily dress up doll hair with different colors of ribbon. :)
Saige loves this style and I hope your doll does too! If you try it out, feel free to send me a picture at [email protected] :)
Happy Styling!
