Summer is the perfect time to wander the library shelves for a good book to read! Or, maybe there's a book you've been wanting to read all year. That's definitely me, I have tons of books that are on my "to-read" list!
We can't forget to include our doll's in Summer reading too! Here's a fun, simple way to make a bookmark so that your doll won't lose her spot. :)
All you need is:
- Pretty paper or construction paper
- Plain paper
- Scissors
- A pushpin
- Thin ribbon
- Stickers, decorative tape, any kind of decorations you'd like!
To make the bookmark, cut out a strip of plain paper 2 inches long and a half inch wide.
Cut out another piece of pretty paper the same size and glue it on.
Add a sticker or any kind of decoration! I'm obsessed with decorative (Washi) tape too and it's cute & easy to rip off a piece and stick on.
Poke a tiny hole at the top of the bookmark.
String some ribbon through the hole, tie a knot...and you're done!
I had a blast making lots of different bookmarks!! Which one is your favorite?
Oh no, Cecile can't decide which bookmark to use! I guess she'll just have to read more books. ;)
I hope you have fun making some for your doll! If you do, always feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
What book are you reading right now, or what books are on your "to-read" list? I'd love to know! :)
