The classic french braid is a great Summer style! I've gotten some requests on how to do it on dolls and I'm so excited to share with you today...
I love how this looks awesome on any long to medium doll hair, plus dolls with bangs. Are you ready to get started?!
First brush your doll's hair or spritz it a bit with water and take a small section of hair from the top of your doll's head.
Seperate the hair into three even pieces.
Cross the right and left sections over the middle section like you would in a normal braid.
Then grab a small piece of hair from the right side near your doll's ear.
Add it with the other piece closest to it, on the right side.
Do the same with the left side, adding a small piece of hair.
Tightly braid together.
Repeat the same step taking small pieces from both sides and adding them to the braid. Make sure you braid as tight as you can for a nice look. Remember that it may take many times before your braid looks like mine. It took me a couple tries before I could even show the one in my first photo. Every time you do it, you'll do better and better! :)
Continue until you reach the nape of your doll's neck. (You can go longer if you want)
Tie off with a hairtie...and you're done!! Yay!
You can dress up the braid with pretty colored hairties, clips, or even ribbon! :)
Abbey loves this style and we hope your doll does too! If you try it out, we'd LOVE to see. Feel free to send a picture to [email protected] :)
Happy Styling!
