Since it's time to head back to school, your doll is going to need some folders to hold all her worksheets and homework. But who says they have to look boring?
These school folders are so pretty, easy, and fun to make! Let's get started!
First you'll need a few supplies:
- Paper in any color or design! It can be cardstock or construction paper.
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- And, the doll folder templates!
I've created two different printable templates you can use, a file folder and a regular folder with flaps.
Just click the links or pictures above to print them out. :)
Once you have the templates cut out, you can decorate the folder templates by themselves or you can make a folder extra special with pretty paper!
Lay the template flat on a piece of paper and trace around it, cutting with your scissors.
After it's cut, if you're making the doll folder with flaps, fold it in half.
Then fold the flaps up on the inside. I love how this paper is double-sided with different patterns!
Put a tiny bit of glue on the right and left sides of the folder flaps, but don't glue anywhere else or in the middle. You'll want to be able to slip worksheets inside.
The file folder is even easier to make! Just cut around it like before.
Then fold it in half, lining up the corners.
Use small strips of paper, stickers, markers; anything you want to decorate! And, don't forget to write a subject or your doll's name on the small tab on the top of the file folder.
And, you're done! Make lots of folders for your doll so that she'll have plenty to last all year long!
Julie better get back to work! I hope you have fun with these doll school folders. If you make one, I'd love to see. Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
