Lunch is everyone's favorite school subject, right?! Ok, it's not a subject...but it's still a very important and yummy part of the day!
I'm going to show you how to make a lunch your doll can pack for school, using all craft foam! It's so much fun and easy too. Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies. Remember you can use whatever you have on hand! I used:
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Toothpick
- Pattern Felt
- Pink Foam
- Green Foam
- Yellow Foam
- Brown Foam
- Red Foam
- Black Foam
- Orange Foam
- And, White Foam (the 6mm thick kind, I found it at Michael's Craft Storeand at other craft stores too.)
First, we're going to make a doll sandwich! Begin by cutting off one of the corners. The top will be three inches across and the edges should be two inches.
Repeat this step, so that you have two halves of bread!
Then, cut four strips of brown foam two inches long and a half inch wide. This will be the crust.
Put glue on the brown strips and line up to the edges, pressing gently.
When that's done, it's time to fill up the sandwich!
Cut a triangle of yellow foam for cheese, pink for the meat, green for lettuce, and red for tomatoes.
Glue them onto the bread pieces and your doll's sandwich is done!!
Next, we're making potato chips! Start by cutting small ovals from yellow foam, they are about an inch in length.
To make them more realistic, use a toothpick to make ridges.
Then, give it a scrunch between your fingers for shape. So easy!
For carrot and celery sticks, cut strips of green and orange foam.
You can't forget the dessert! To make a cookie, cut out two small circles from black foam and one circle from white foam.
With a toothpick, poke holes on the black circles.
Then, glue together!
And there you have a yummy and healthy school lunch for your doll! Also, you can make a cute napkin by cutting a square from patterned felt.
Julie is ready to dig in!
