Last week we took a look at Kirsten and Samantha's collections in a 1991 Pleasant Company catalog I found. (Click here for Part 1) We're going to continue our American Girl throwback today, with Molly's Collection and a few other items...
Here's Molly McIntire!
I just love all of her 1940s accessories. And Molly's dog looks so different, wow!
Her raincoat and umbrella were so adorable!
And, here's the Molly outfits for girls!
The note about the inspiration for Molly's clothes had an actual picture of Pleasant Rowland, the creator of American Girl, as a little girl in the 1940s!
Extra outfits and school furniture for the dolls...love these!
In the middle was a mini catalog of "The New Baby Collection" which would be called Bitty Babies later.
There were only two different babies available, but just as sweet as the ones available today.
Nearing the end of the catalog are some extras, like bows for girls & dolls, a doll travel set, bookmarks, luggage, hangers, stationary, and doll dress patterns so you can make the clothes yourself.
There were also historic craft kits available like, a embroidery sampler, victorian valentines, knitting, weaving loom, lanyard kit, and straw ornaments. Each were between $12-$26. You could buy seperately or get a "Pasttime subscription" and you'd get a different craft set in the mail every month.
And there were activity sets like, paper dolls, a photo album, diary, theater, cookbook, and games!
At the back of the catalog is a message from Pleasant Rowland, so sweet! :)
I hope you enjoyed looking back with me, it was a lot of fun! Which old collection did you like best Kirsten, Samantha, or Molly's? :)
