The itsy bitsy spider went...in Elizabeth's hair?! Eeek! Oh well, good thing it is pretend! I'm so excited to share this spooky way to dress up a bun hairstyle, I love it. Plus, it's super easy!
First you'll need to do a little crafting before you do the doll hairstyle. You'll need a few black pipecleaners, a black pompom, black felt, a bobbypin, two small googly eyes, scissors, and glue!
Cut out a small circle from the black felt.
Then, slide the circle inside the bobbypin until it's pressed tight against the end.
Glue the pom-pom onto the felt.
Finally add the googly eyes!
Make a basic bun on top of your doll's head. (You can find out how to make a basic bun at my video, here.) Then push the bobbypin in the middle of the bun.
Cut the black pipecleaners about three or four inches long, and bend them at the bottom to look like spider legs. You'll need eight pipecleaners, four for each side of the bun. Stick these into the bun, they'll stay really well!
And there you have a spooky spider bun hairstyle. Perfect for the season and if your doll wants to be a little silly! :)
Here's what Elizabeth looks like from the front, I love how the pipecleaners stick out...so funny!
I hope you have fun trying this out on your doll! If you do, I'd absolutely love to see! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Happy Styling! :)
Ps~Tomorrow is From a Friend Friday! If you have a doll photo or video you'd like to share, there's still time. Just email me soon. :)
