Since the holidays are fast approaching and Thanksgiving is only a week away, it's time to get making decorations! My dolls made festive name cards and place mats to celebrate an early "Friendsgiving" because every day we should be thankful for the sweet friends around us!
These are super easy and fun to make too, let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Plain paper
- Scrapbook paper or construction paper
- Gluestick
- Scissors
- Marker
- Glitter glue or other decorations
Once you have everything together, fold the plain piece of paper in half. If you want it to be sturdier, you could use a thicker cardstock paper instead, like I did.
Then cut along the folded crease and make a rectangle two and a half inches long and an inch wide.
Now you have the base for your name card!
Cut out small rectangles from the scrapbook paper and glue on.
Then decorate with glitter glue! I traced around, making a border.
When the glue is dry, write your doll's name in the middle of the card and she'll know exactly where to sit. :) To make a place mat, cut out a big rectangle of scrapbook paper to put your doll's plate on top of. I chose this shiny paper and I love it!
Kenley can't wait to dig into her pumpkin pie! If you'd like to know how to make the pie, you can see my other craft tutorial by clicking HERE.
I hope you have fun making some for your doll's holiday table! If you do, I'd LOVE to see! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Happy Crafting! Enjoy! :)
