I liked the doll flower bouquet in Grace's Girl of the Year Welcome Gifts set so much that I wanted to re-create it myself, for less! Want to learn how to make one for your doll? I'll show you how, let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Polka-dot cardstock paper
- Light brown/cardboard-looking cardstock paper
- Green pipecleaners
- Flower embellishments
- Tape
- Scissors
- Bouquet Cone Pattern
I bought most of my supplies and paper from Michael's Craft Store, and found those amazing flower embellishments there for only $1.99 for a pack of nine. (You could also make your own Felt Roses, to find out how, click HERE)
Before we get into the craft, here's the free pattern for the bouquet cone.
Print Doll Bouquet Cone Pattern
Click the link or picture above to print out the pattern.
1. Cut out the cone pattern. 2. Lay the pattern flat on your polka-dot paper and cut around it, using it as a guide. 3. Do the same to your brown paper, so that you have two cone shapes. 4. Roll the polka-dot paper into a cone. Make sure that you leave a small hole at the bottom of the cone. Use tape to secure. 5. Roll up the brown paper the same way, so that you now have two cones. 6. Put the brown cone inside of the polka-dot one.
Now it's time for the flowers! As I said above, if you don't have flower embellishments, you can always make your own flowers from felt or tissue paper. :)
Some of the embellishments had sticky dots included, but I also used tape to put them on top of a green pipecleaner.
Slip the pipecleaner inside of the paper cone, then cut off the extra of the pipecleaner.
Keep making flowers and placing them inside the cone, until you have a full bouquet!
And, you're done! Super easy and looks lovely! :)
Rebecca loves her bouquet of flowers and can't wait to put them in a vase! I hope you have fun making a bouquet for your doll. If you do, I'd love to see! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Enjoy and Happy Crafting! :)
