Doll Food Craft: How To Make Mini Cakes!

Everything is cuter when it's mini! I made these mini cakes for my dolls and I love them! Want to know how to make them too? Let's get started!

First you'll need some supplies:

• Felt  (I used dark brown, red, white, and pink)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Puffy Paint or Regular Paint
• Glitter
• Beads
• Any other decoration you'd like!

1. Cut out a square of felt, an inch wide and high. 2. It should look something like this! 3. Use that square of felt as a guide to cut out another square of a different color. 4. You'll need five squares. Three of one color, and two of another. 5. Put glue on one of the squares. I used a glue stick, but any glue works. Then place the square on top of another. 6. Continue gluing in layers, making a pattern until all five are glued. 7. Use puffy paint as the yummy icing. 8. Have fun decorating the cake however you like! I used red glitter and red bead on top. :)

And that's it, you're finished! I used mini cupcake liners to give them a fancy look. Perfect for a party or Valentine's Day! :)

The sparkly shoes have to be my favorite part of the outfit!! The glitter does not flake off and they are easy to slip on doll feet. So cute!

The headband is made of stretchy elastic and adds a fancy touch to doll hairstyles. :)

And finally, the necklace completes the look! It clasps in the back and is a nice length.

Kenley looks gorgeous and any doll would be the best dressed at a Valentine's Day Party for sure! :)

Doll Craft: How To Make A No-Sew Doll Tutu!

Years ago I went to see the Nutcracker and it's still one of my best memories! Ballet is such a gorgeous form of dance and I love the tutus. I had some extra tulle in my craft stash, so I thought I'd make my dolls a tutu. These tutus are super easy and even better, they are no-sew! 

First you'll need some supplies:

• Tulle or Fabric
• Ribbon
• Scissors
• Ruler/Measuring Tape (Optional)

1. Start by cutting a piece of ribbon 23 inches long. You can also put the ribbon around your doll's waist and measure it, since I know some dolls are different sizes. You should have some room to be able to tie it around your doll later. 2. Cut tulle about 8-9 inches long and 1-2 inches wide. I wasn't completely precise, so it's okay to use both long and short pieces or make them how you like. 3. Tie the tulle onto the ribbon. 4. Continue to tie the pieces on the ribbon, pushing them together as you go. 5. Keep going!! 6. Stop when your ribbon is almost fully covered, but make sure to leave 6 inches of ribbon at the ends so you can put the tutu on your doll.

Tie the ribbon around your doll's waist and you're finished!! Now, your doll is ready for ballet practice or a recital.

I love how this turned out and how you could use all kinds of different colors. Maybe even alternate two different colors, that would look so pretty!
