The most popular Easter treat is definitely a...Chocolate Bunny! They are so cute and delicious. My dolls love chocolate so I knew I had to make them some. Here's a fun way to make a chocolate bunny for your American Girl doll too!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Brown Felt
- Scissors
- Needle & Thread
- Thin Ribbon
- Glue
- Polyfill or Cotton
- And the Chocolate Bunny Printable Pattern
Before we get into the craft here's the FREE Chocolate Bunny Pattern. You can print it out by clicking on the picture or link below. (Be sure to download and print at “Actual Size” from a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. If you save & print directly from your browser, it might not print at the right size.)

Now, here's how to make the bunny:
1. Cut out the pattern and place on the brown felt. Cut around the pattern to make two bunny shapes. 2. Put the two bunnies together. Cut a very long piece of thread (I only used one string). You'll need the thread to be longer than you'd think you would need so you can stitch around the whole bunny. Thread it on the needle. 3. Begin making an upward stitch. 4. Then, before completing the stitch, slip the needle through the little hole. This stitch will make it a lot easier and look nicer. 5. Keep sewing the edges until you reach the other side of the bunny. Slip off your needle but keep the thread attatched. Use poly-fill or cotton to stuff the bunny. 6. Sew up the remainder of the bunny. 7. Make a little bow with your ribbon. 8. Glue the bow on the bunny's neck and you're finished!(If you don't want to sew, you could also use glue around the edges.)
The chocolate bunny looks so good in an Easter basket! :)
Kit loves her chocolate bunny and can't wait for more Easter fun to come!
