Since I love reading and American Girl, I decided to make my own American Girl bookmarks! These are super fun to do and easy too. I'll show you how, let's get started!
First you need some supplies:
- Pretty Paper or Construction Paper
- American Girl Crafts Sticker Pad (You could also cut-out pictures from an AG catalog or print out pictures from online)
- White Cardstock Paper
- Ribbon
- Gluestick
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
- Ruler (optional)
I love this new sticker pad made by American Girl! The stickers are of all the BeForever historical dolls. They are glossy, high quality photos and very beautiful! There are three sheets of each doll so you get a ton of stickers for the price.
To make a bookmark, first use white cardstock paper and measure 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. Cut out. Then begin cutting out other pieces of pretty paper to decorate the bookmark. I cut out a big piece to put on top of the bookmark. Then I placed one of the American Girl stickers on a piece of paper and overlapped it on top of another piece to make a border. Glue together and use your hole punch at the top of the bookmark. Cut a piece of ribbon and loop through the hole for a finishing touch! :)
I love how my Kit bookmark turned out! The best part about this craft is that you can decorate however you like...there are so many ways. Here are a few others I made:
Caroline! (The paper I got at Michael's Craft Store was such a great match for her!)
Julie!
And, Addy!
I hope you have fun making an American Girl bookmark! If you'd like to make a matching bookmark for your doll, check out my other craft by clicking HERE. If you try it out I'd LOVE to see! Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected] or tag me in Instagram pictures @creativedollcrafts
Happy Crafting! Also out of curiosity, what book(s) are you reading right now? :)
