Buns are one of my favorite Summer styles and I love how you can make them casual or dressy. One of my new favorite ways to give my doll a fancier bun hairstyle is to use silk flowers. It's so simple and looks gorgeous, I'll show you how!
1. First gather all your doll's hair at the top of her head as if you're making a high ponytail. 2. Twist the hair and bring it forwards. 3. Coil it tight to your doll's head. 4. Use a hairtie or bobbypins to secure. 5. Yay, you've made a bun! 6. Get out your silk flowers, which you can buy at any craft store or even Wal-Mart. Cut the stems to make the flowers shorter and easier to use. 7. Tuck the flowers around the bun to resemble a flower crown. 8. And, you're finished!
Doesn't Elizabeth look beautiful?!
I love how silk flowers can freshen up a basic hairstyle, and there are tons of flower colors to choose from!
You can also use one big flower for another pretty look! :)
I hope you have fun trying out this hairstyle! If you do, I'd LOVE to see. Feel free to send me a picture at [email protected]
Happy Styling! :)
